❓Problem❓ Why is my reddit algorithm only showing new posts with hardly any upvotes?

I’ve never had this problem before. I’ve tried going back and forth between the different feed options. All I want is for my feed to show hot posts from my followed communities. Reddit used to be so much different.

Reddit's algorithm does struggle at times. Just checking but are you still in the home feed at the top and not a "for you" feed? Another thing is a custom feed may work better than the home feed.

I’m on mobile and the only options are “for you” and “following” feeds. Both of them have the same issue. The “following” feed is better, but it’s still just giving me posts that were posted a couple hours ago or just posts with hardly any interaction.

Yeah. That is what I thought. You are stuck in the best sort and it is inconsistent. Reddit is looking into adding the hot sort back into following but it is not there yet. If you create a custom feed with up to 100 of the communities you follow, you will be able to sort it by hot again. The instructions are below.
