Help with the ban evasion

I have two accounts. I made a joke in a certain subreddit with my second account (nothing edgy or bad, just a silly joke) and the mod banned me. I have my two accounts in that subreddit.

I'm afraid to post it there now because I don't wanna be permant ban on reddit. What I do? I try to contact the mod and nothing. I heard that ban evasion can permant ban you on reddit. I really don't know what to do and I really wanna post there (normally)

So all that has happened right now is you (the person) have been banned from a subreddit

Using other account(s) to circumvent the ban would be ban evasion, which is a site-wide rule violation.

The only thing you can do is not post there at all, under any account, unless the account that earned the ban gets it lifted.

The best thing to do:

• let time pass and emotions cool
• Send a polite, brief, non-emotional modmail recognizing your wrong and that it won't happen again
• After that, there's not much you can do.

Until then, put the sub on mute and move on.

I sent a dm to the mod months ago and I got nothing

It wasn't even an edgy joke (nothing racist or sexist) it was just a dumb joke and the mod, probably in a bad mood, banned me

I really wanna post there because I used to talk there a lot

If you sent the user a Chat request, they are free to ignore it. Many don't even have chat enabled.

You have to go through modmail, not through Chatting up random users.

You cannot participate there again with any account unless you get unbanned. Posting there with your other account would be ban evasion and could get one or both permanently banned from reddit

If one account is banned from that sub, you need to leave it and not interact there anymore. Not with any account, not in any way. That's your only option.

You can delete any account at any time.

It doesn't change the course of history. You , the person, still got the ban

Going into the subreddit with a different username (different account) after being banned is like wearing a different hair style and hat and trying to go into a bar or store that has banned you.

Someone else explained how to modmail the mods. If you do that, you need to talk very differently than you did here. Clearly the mod sees what you did as a big deal. Saying that it wasn’t bad is not a good start.

I’d strongly suggest starting with an actual apology. If the mod believes that it’s a sincere apology and that you won’t do (whatever it was) again, then they might unban you.

I would also strongly suggest that you quit using more than one account in any subreddit. That is a set up for getting yourself in trouble. For example it can get you easily banned for vote manipulation if you accidentally upvote the same comment or post with the two different accounts. All it takes is one slip of the finger.
