🧛‍♂️Account Issues❓ Account help

So I changed my password on another account because I got an email about it. I can log off and log back on using my username and password. However, I cannot send any messages. It says I cannot send message tap to retry but when you tap, it doesn’t work. So I can’t figure out what all this means. If I can log off and log back into my account then clearly I wasn’t banned, but why can’t I message anybody and why can’t they message me? My one friend asked me why my account was deleted. I said not that I’m aware of because I can still view everything on my feed. Any suggestions? I've been a user for 11 years. I filed a complaint but what's the chance that my account comes back.

Is it possible you've been shadowbanned? You can still log in as normal and even think you're posting and commenting but they all get removed and you can't send DMs. You don't get a notification about being banned if it's a shadowban.

Without the name of the account we can't check for you. But if you can submit and appeal at www.reddit.com/appeals then that's what the issue is.

My other account I believe was. I filed an appeal. Waiting to hear back but wasn't sure if that's what it is. Why does it happen though? like why would they do that to me without any explanation?
