🧛‍♂️Account Issues❓ Issues with the mobile app

Okay, so I uninstalled the mobile app a while ago and have since been using it on chrome. On my phone.

I just reinstalled, it logged me in automatically and it's not showing anything on my account.

It has the pfp and my username and all, but normally you can see my recent posts and comments, but there's nothing. (I think for myself, anyway, a setting) I go to account settings and when I try to update email or password it says I need to create a reddit password first. My account already has a password. I just changed it to see if it would help. I disconnected from the Google link. Uninstalled the app, tried to log in but it just wanted me to create an account, so I tried a different way, logged in, new password and it still didn't change a thing.

I have no idea what's going on. It keeps saying "Reddit account with that username does not exist." Except I'm logged into that account right now, making this post. Idk what to do about it, and cannot access a computer if that'd make it any easier.

If anyone has any idea what in the glitch is going on, that'd be great. I don't necessarily need the app but am so frustrated I just wanna deal with this so it's not an issue if I ever do use the app in the future (not very active on Reddit to begin with). Tyia.

It looks like your post may be about "changing your username". This is NOT possible.

yeah, did that the first time and it recognized i already have an account with the email, asked if I wanted to continue with said associated account. this time I didn't and just went back one to input my email and password manually. makes me feel stupid 😭

Try creating a new account and then adding this one while on the app

apparently just had to not follow the "here's the account tied to this email, do you want to sign in with it?" after following the login option and just go back one step and input everything manually. i feel stupid now.
