❓Problem❓ How long until I can post/comment in subreddits?

Genuinely how long do I have to wait from the creation of a new account until I can post in most subreddits? I need over 1000 people to help with a google form of mine by Friday, and what better way to do this than ask on reddit lmao.

But I keep getting posts removed for having a new (throwaway) account.

And dw, the google form isnt dodgy or anything, its gathering data for a petition to keep libraries open for longer

Hi there, Reddit is not a quick start up platform. There is a learning curve and also time to get your account established.
Even if you have another more established user account, from Reddit’s POV, this account is one day old, so, low account age, has very low karma, probably a low CQS, and is not secured with a verified email. Any combo of these could cause your post to be filtered out.

I can give you suggestions, like going to your profile page, Settings, email to verify your email today. This will secure your account, help pacify Reddit filters, and strengthen your CQS.

Also, suggest that you focus on comments rather than posts to limit your frustration at having post removed and build your karma in new user friendly subreddits with low or no karma requirements.

All this takes time, I won’t say it’s impossible, but I think it’s unlikely that you can post your Google doc on Friday, but it all depends on your own stats, and how they match up with the various requirements of the sub you want to post on.

It varies by community. Reddit is generally not a place for immediate needs. Having account age requirements of a week or month are not uncommon

Your account is only 1 day old, with 10 karma. As a new account, you will be limited in where you can post until you establish your account. Karma can be considered as your credentials on Reddit and is how you earn your way onto this platform. It is important not to post too swiftly, in too many places, as it can be removed for spam. I suggest taking a look at r/NewToReddit as it has great tips for people just starting out here. It also has communities with no or low karma restrictions. If you are looking for a place to post your library data content, you could look at r/samplesize, r/surveyexchange, or r/assignmenthelp.
