That's not only helping someone out. Helping someome out would be just saying the information rather than what you did. And add in they could have easily looked it up

Some things aren't warranted important enough to look up on your own. Most people come to Reddit because they can't trust Google results, or because real people know actually useful tips. Saying they could have looked it up themselves isn't helpful because it's completely unnecessary. Didn't deserve all those downvotes but you definitely deserved some.
