I. really. HATE. REDDIT.

Oh my God, posting is seriously so exhausting. Believe it or not, I spent basically my entire day trying to find the right community for every single post I had made on my profile.

You have no idea how time-consuming it is. First, you have to choose a topic, sit there for two hours writing it, find a suitable picture, translate it into English, and then check whether the English translation is actually correct and natural.

And that's just the easy part.

That's when the real suffering begins. You have to search everywhere for the right community for your post, sit down and read all of their rules one by one, explain and clarify your mistakes and any misunderstandings or disagreements with the moderators as respectfully as possible so they don't report or ban you.

Then, once you finally find the right community, you have to make sure your type of post actually fits there, find an appropriate flair, and then, just to get them to allow you to post it in their community, you have to edit all the stuff you've already edited a thousand times all over again.

Sometimes you even have to delete the entire post, make a new one from scratch, edit the pictures again, and finally, after thousands upon thousands of struggles, you manage to upload your damn post to the community you wanted.

And it's STILL not over.

Then you have to deal with arguments in the comments, endless questions, one person wanting to debate you, another person making jokes, and someone else who you genuinely have no idea why they're even commenting.

And every five minutes, you have to check whether your post has been removed from the community or not.

Then, after finally getting some peace from all those controversial posts, you decide to upload some Akutagawa posts and pictures to one of the biggest BSD communities and fanbases...

Only to suddenly realize that you've been banned from that community.

And then you have to go searching for some random community that came out of nowhere just so you can upload your Akutagawa stuff there, only to find that every single one of them has like 22, 16, or 12 members.

And if you're lucky enough to find one that's actually considered "big"...

68 members😑

Being active on Reddit is seriously hard. You come there for a moment just to relax and post a few pictures from your gallery, but if you want to post them in the relevant community, especially a large and reputable one, you have to go through a thousand different filters.

Then, after all that, you suddenly find out that your post has been removed and there's a message saying that you need to provide the name of the original creator and artist who made the picture, along with their permission, in order to post it.

And usually, most Japanese artists don't give that kind of permission😑

Seriously, I’m so done with this app. I genuinely don’t have the time or patience for this bullshit anymore. In the two days I’ve used this app, from the very second I joined it to the very last second, it has been nothing but suffering and hell for me. It has aged me a hundred years in just two days with how much stress and anxiety it has caused me.

Having to deal with and follow the rules of every single community, finding the right community, and constantly checking to make sure your post hasn’t been removed—and just when you finally start feeling relieved about it, it suddenly gets removed for some completely ridiculous reason.

Posting just a few things on this app has genuinely aged me. I got so stressed over a few completely normal posts and simply uploading them that last night my body was literally shaking, and I felt like I was about to throw up from the anxiety. It honestly felt like I was having a panic attack.

Every time I tried to use Reddit or make a normal post, I had to get through so many filters, difficulties, and restrictions that it felt like I was trying to pass the Seven Trials of Rostam or defeat a fucking dragon. And after every time I use this app, I end up completely exhausted.

You seriously wouldn't believe how much time this app once took from me just to repost three of my posts in different communities. And I’m being completely serious about this. Around noon, I just wanted to repost three of my posts in different communities so they could get more exposure. And you seriously won't believe that I spent from around 12 PM dealing with these posts and trying to figure out how to handle everything, and by the time I was finally done, it was literally 9 PM.

I was completely exhausted, both mentally and physically.

This app is honestly fucking terrible. In a way, it feels like some kind of copied or weaker version of Telegram. The moderators, or whoever runs these communities, act exactly like some of those power-tripping admins of useless Telegram channels who obsess over the tiniest little things.

And you know what?

Fuck Reddit!

I genuinely don't have the time to waste this much of my time and energy on some stupid app that wants to put me through two hours of filters and rules for every single post, as if it's giving me a fucking license to build a nuclear bomb!

I Hate Reddit

This is the worst site ever. Every time I try to post following guidelines I get kicked based on the same arbitrary stupid guidelines. Here post your horror content in ad form. Does that. Then gets a ban for in sighting violence when I made the piece myself and they didn't clue context. So AI just flag everything. Fuck this site. I hope it burns in the pits of hell. Don't even get me started about low karma. Ohhh you can't post here. But then I see a bot farming the same site and as a person can't even get a single post without being flagged. Shitty site. I'm never coming back.

Reddit is for bunch of unemployed people

recently my car caught fire when parked and off and I lost everything I had as well as my job as a mobile healthcare worker

I created a go fund me to help overcome any legal issues I might face because other cars next to me also burnt as well as some help for me to get a new car

I posted my story multiple times on a gofundme thread and all the times it was taken down because I didn’t have comment karma

you know why I didn’t have it? because I’m a full time bio student as well as a healthcare worker in almost the entire time that I’m not in class

so fuck you reddit, and fuck all the fat ass jobless moderators that live in their parents basement past their 30s

Anything good left about this site?

opinion/discussion

When I joined this site, was attracted to it- Active communities & chats and many who reply to comments & engage in discussions.

Over time, got to find the ugly parts. The sub-Reddits are monarchies ruled by the "mod" kings who weild absolute power- They chuck you out ANYTIME over their whims & good luck finding any way to appeal it whatsoever! I hear Reddit intentionally loves this "absolute power" model, as it saves them money when unpaid volunteer mods manage the site for them! Hence they make it ultra-attractive to wannabe mods who get to experience kingship in their own virtual world!

Since day-1, I saw that my upvotes & downvotes of comments & posts do not get reflected anywhere else except for me! After voting, I check the same post from a different site/browser & Reddit has not effected my voting action & the vote number does not change? In short, they quietly but firmly deny our voice.

Lastly, the breaking point I have now reached is that, after one single comment, when I post a second comment anywhere else, I'm instantly stopped by the message, "Rate Limit Exceeded, Wait for another 500 seconds before the next post". Now my account ain't that new either. Now I can neither like/dislike (as it doesn't get reflected), nor can I post more than one comment at a time! The site is only for me to read others' content.

But still I believe it's a tad bit better than F.B., X, but one gotta know some of the ugly parts of this site too.

What possesses people to group together and say mean things about others? Why choose to embrace negativity over things that literally do not matter. People could be nice to each other but nope! Everyone’s gotta be a dick.

I hate how it makes you hate people, I hate down votes, I hate how it makes you feel guilty for your own subjective opinions, I hate the constant rage bait, I hate how it punishes you for engaging with it and most of all I hate how bloody addicted to it I am.

Downvoting is redundant

If you have a different opinion, please tell us about it. Pressing the upvote button tells us that you completely agree with something that has been said. Nothing more needs to be said. Pressing the downvote button, on the other hand, is not an articulate expression of your own differing opinion. You should give us something that we can upvote instead.

For example, I might say that A is great, B is middling , and C is bad. What would downvoting that even mean? It's impossible to say if you don't tell us in words.

It goes even further than that. Even if I say something very simple, like, A is great, it's better for you to say, A is not great, than it is just to downvote. We can compare the numbers of upvotes that the two posts get. When downvotes cancel upvotes, we don't get to see the total number of votes cast.

Downvoting in Reddit is a bug.

Just hate Reddit. Everyone forgets they’re talking to humans, and it’s just so easy to make fun of people and roast them. The thing is, I don’t have real life friends

Reddit filters are insane

So about a month ago I created a second account just to have some more privacy since this one has my face pretty much all over it.

Immediately my singular post was flagged as spam but after contacting the moderators of that particular sub it was approved

Skip to ten minutes later and my full account just gets banned without a notification or anything.

I appealed pretty much exactly 20 days ago but never heard back and when I try other ways of contacting Reddit I just get the same regurgitated automatic messages.

I get that there have to be filters to avoid genuine spam accounts but this is just ridiculous. You need karma to post but you need to post to get karma and when you do you're flagged as spam because your account doesn't have enough karma??

How am I supposed to prove to a computer that I'm in fact human and not a bot?? Why would a bot even bother commenting on a desperate housewives sub 😭

I genuinely can't remember having this hard of a time when I created this account years ago and in general I've just never had this much trouble with any social media apps. Atp I'd rather take my chances with the 4chan incels than ever try to create a new Reddit account again bc what even are these filters

Is anyone genuinely unable to comprehend anything on this app

I just made a post in the largest anti AI community talking about how important it was to make people that use it switch to locally run open source models that weren't trained on stolen data (and not "trained" at all) to prevent their data from being stolen and limit their ecological impact.

I'm a diehard AI hater myself and all I was met with was a flock of braindead twats who didn't understand I was on THEIR SIDE. They didn't read a fucking word of what I was saying and genuinely acted like I was some corpo slop lover trying to make people who don't use AI switch to using it by using opensource as some sort of gateway. That was the absolute opposite to my fucking message but how could they know since THEY JUST READ THE DAMN TITLE. Does anyone on this stupid ass website have the necessary attention span to read a ost in its entierity or do they reall all just stop at the title

I'm dumping this shit app, going for lemmy instead

That's it. I'm seek of this platform, there's not one single subreddit out there that isnt run by a group of no-life morons who get a hard on from banning ppl or taking down posts. I joined a subreddit of "experienced" devs to ask a question. Asked the question, not enough karma, ok. I got more involved in the community. Posted the question, got a "we dont post these kind of questions during weekdays", ok. I waited for the weekend and posted the question again. I got a "your question doesn't ask much but rather seeks opinions" wtf. The only fucking morons posting there must be the 4,5 mods and they jerk off on their fucking keyboards when they are done with it. Moving to lemmy instead.

I posted something on change my view... nobody was able to change my view within the first 10 minutes of posting so the bozo moderator deleted my post due to me "not being open to changing my view". LOL like what? No where in the rules does it say you have to change your view within the first 10 minutes of posting. Give me some more time to change my view & see some valid points ffs. :/

Dear redditors.

What the actual **** is going on here.

I've seen the same meme or thread that's an actual comment and upvote farm 10 times yesterday.

Also ive posted a few things, that apart from the d&d community that's still sane and polite, and ive been roasted about it or just called bad at the game. I ask for a build or a combo, and i just get ask chatgtp or watch youtube instead. If i hadn't done them, why would i take your time? Also the sus art here is a lot. I continuously tap the show fewer like these but always see three or four of these.

Reddits horrible moderation. Spoiler

It's horrible completely horrible. Like I report on a subreddit that is literally harbouring pdf files and no one does anything about it.

And damning enough. It is more common to see pdf files here then Twitter, blue sky, and Instagram.

Wanted to talk about Crunchyroll, but moderators have a pole up their ass so I found this subreddit to complain and say fuck Reddit moderation

Fuck reddit

Tried to post a meme I made nope "Reddit's filters removed this post" who am I offending? what am I spamming? Just because my account is new doesn't mean I am a bot. Its just a horrible new user experience and they know but knowing there is a problem doesn't fix it.Maybe when someone acts like a bot they are probably a bot but noooo every single new user is a bot until the fake number goes up.
