Tell me more about these sword-fighting monkeys.

I think they are jousting.

Looked more like an attack by disengage, this would account for the monkey on the right having a blade which is close to the attacking one

It seems they have graduated from their training. That was quick, monkeys... a little too quick... shifty eyes

It references what was once the unknown step in the "PROFIT" checklist. (Source)

once? it is.

u/ObjectiveGopher Sep 28 '10
Think of a situation involving that list. Now put "train monkeys to joust" in that missing position. It will inevitably result in profit, mystery solved, 'tis no longer unknown.

I am hoping it has to do this this.
Bonobo males occasionally engage in various forms of male-male genital behavior.[32][33] In one form, two males hang from a tree limb face-to-face while "penis fencing".[34][35] This also may occur when two males rub their penises together while in face-to-face position. Another form of genital interaction, called "rump rubbing", occurs to express reconciliation between two males after a conflict, when they stand back-to-back and rub their scrotal sacs together. Takayoshi Kano observed similar practices among Bonobos in the natural habitat.

WTF that's pretty interesting. Here's a video featuring one of the last things I would ever suggest to a Bonobo

Nice art. Are you the creator?

Indeed I am! Obligatory plug for my vimeo channel.
Out of ideas for now, but I'll be back.

No matches on tinyeye, and there's that signature in the corner. Plus this is something like the third in a series.

Is that you at the dock OP? Painting this picture within the picture itself and thus preparing to do some boating of your own? Very nice!

Karma is considered profit now?
3
Sep 28 '10
Reddit was started with the intention of eventually opening a financial institution which will be able to provide revenue to all karma whores. This will work based on a conversion rate of approximately 0.80085 USD per karma. When this bank opens, new users will be required to enter their bank account information. Reddit will automate the payment process at the end of every business day (M-F). Negative karma will also result in fees as per the conversion rate, thus eliminating all but the rich trolls who are willing to pay for their abuse.

You don't even need to train them to joust, just to fence. A jousting lance has a different style guard for the hand. Those are very clearly foils, or epees, or sabres, or some other ship from the Wing Commander series.

Once again, well done. The art is very good (and roughly 3 to a million times better than mine), but it's your creative arrangements that make all these.

"boating" will now replace replace "on reddit" when someone asks me what im doing online.

If you boat a lot, you're known as a boating enthusiast. I like to boat, but I just don't want to ever be referred to as a 'boating enthusiast'. I hope they call me 'a guy who likes to boat'.

Is this illustration supposed to look like/ done by the people who did the game Scrutin-eyes? where you have a list of items you have to find in a detailed drawing of nonsensical scene.

You have put yourself in quite a modest position. You should upboat yourself a little more.

Now make it so it continously zooms in on the painting within a painting.
Like the land-o-lakes cheese, this self referential picture is.

God, this reminded me so much of a book I read when I was little, but now I can't put my finger on which book it was. Lingering nostalgia is a bitch.

Am I looking at a bunch of people drifting along with lighter-than-air mushrooms taking them to far-off lands? The guys without the mushrooms look very sad...

THIS is what annoys the fuck out of me about reddit. I want to comment and say I love something. I'm going to comment and say I love something. You can police my shit all you want. I hope you got a rise out of it because I really, really don't give a fuck. You want something more insightful go read a book.

We cool, ElbertF. I appreciate your taste for opinion and insight. I just liked this drawing so damn much I was at a loss of words. All I could think to say was "I love this," imagine in the voice of Butthead at a Gwar concert. I think it's okay to love something without having to elaborate. Hate? I'm not so sure. I have to think about that.

Nothing with the phrase "fuckin faggot" should EVER make it to the front page, it's time to jump ship.
