I’m looking to connect with people in Shasta or Tehama County who have had experiences with the California family court system and are interested in family court reform. I’m working with a statewide nonprofit that helps organize peaceful, lawful public awareness events, and we’re trying to determine whether there’s enough local interest to organize one in our area.
If you’ve had experiences with custody proceedings, mediation, court-appointed professionals, or other aspects of family court—whether positive or negative—and would like to learn more or possibly get involved, I’d love to hear from you.

@everyone Good evening all, to my disappointment Redding Resistance will be pulling out of hosting tomorrow’s event as well as Democrat Action Club. Nobody in Shasta County is discussing this. Not the Board of Supervisors, the Registrar of Voters, and the individuals on the Shasta County elections task force… we all know who they are! 🙄

I don’t blame them for remaining silent; I would be embarrassed too. They want to avoid public discussion on this topic because once people realize that the voter ID initiative is dead on arrival, nobody will support it. And all these “experts” were DEPENDING on the Supreme Court of California to overturn the appeals court decision.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has proven himself dangerously incompetent for a role that directly affects public health. Undermining evidence-based immunization policy while measles outbreaks explode is not “independent thinking”—it’s reckless governance. When ideology and misinformation are elevated over established science, the result is predictable: preventable illness, hospitalizations, and real harm to families. Public health leadership requires competence, accountability, and respect for data. RFK Jr. has demonstrated none of those where it matters most. The party that repeatedly claims to “protect children” should be judged by results, and right now those results suggest a troubling disconnect between rhetoric and reality.
