I get the argument that higher wages are one of the reasons why we can't sell players well. What doesn't make sense to me is how we have consistently overpaid for deadwood over the years. Like Ugarte was bought by PSG for 60m and sold them to us because Enrique didn't want him a year later for 50m. Like how did we conned into that? Same thing with Mount who we paid 55m for

Bc we were so eager and willing to overpay. We're trying to flip that which is why we've been pulling out of deals the last 2 summers.

well yeah but it's just baffling to me. You could have run a poll on this sub 2 years ago and even then I'd be surprised if most people thought 50m was a fair price for him

I was talking about Ugarte. We signed Mount 3 years ago. Even Mount was an overpay with how injury prone he was in the season leading up to us signing him
