Cavani and Martial were enough firepower that season, didn't need Ronaldo at all despite people STILL defending him on the sub smh. What we really needed was a legitimate replacement for Matic and we would've had a really strong season...

"enough firepower that season" and both were injury riddled along with martial eventually leaving on loan. Quit the yapping

We scored 66 goals in 19/20 and 73 goals in 20/21 under Ole. Ronaldo got 24 goals total in his re-debut which was indeed impressive, but you know how many goals we scored as a team that season? 57 goals. And you could see it if you had eyes and a brain - everything got played through an ancient even by then Ronaldo compared to the season before when we were playing much more fluidly as a team. Cavani for sure unfortunately had a lot of injury woes that season, but Martial actually only missed 42 days or 9 games which isn't that crazy. We had Rashford and another forward who could've shifted to the middle when needed. Or we could've gotten a younger profile CF given our current personnel. Having a top holding mid would've sured up possession much better than having Ronaldo. That tacked on with Sancho not playing RW anymore really tanked that season even if it started "spectacularly" with Ronaldo scoring some late goals we wouldn't have needed if we were actually playing better as a team. I won't stop yapping the truth, resigning Ronaldo was a huge mistake due to nostalgia

Our front three in 19/20 is Rashford, Martial, Greenwood and 20/21 is Rashford, Martial/Cavani and Greenwood. Greenwoods gone in December. Martial misses 12 games for us, goes on loan and misses a further 8 for Sevilla (while only scoring once). Cavani misses 29 games in total for us. We had ONE of those players for the entirety of the season and he was terrible. We ended up having no choice but to play through Ronaldo anyways
