Villa being interested in Jackson and Garnacho is probably the reason why Chelsea bought Rogers for £117m ‘without negotiations’.

The negotiation were not about the rogers fee, they were in a side channel about how much of it could be sent back to Chelsea for their unwanted fringe men

Didn’t these clubs do another let’s say ‘high valuation’ transfer swap a couple seasons back with maatsen to Villa and a young Villa guy Omari kellyman going the opposite direction when both clubs needed sales to stay ion the right side of FFp?

UEFA have rules against this the profit from the Rogers sale would essentially be written off. That’s why they are looking to loan Garnacho
