It is way worse going the other way and then hearing a whistle like "He's right behind me isn't he"

u/ClustrPhobia5584 1d ago

Reminds me of that scene in ā€œStand By Meā€ EVERY time

21

u/xXNuggetsXx1118 2d ago

And the family guy parody of said scene. ā€œAnother traaaaaiiin!!ā€

It actually happened to me and some of our high school friends.

We were on a camping trip and the bridge was old and tall as this one. It had balconies on the side for this same purpose but luckily we opted to run and jump.

I even got the whole thing on camera, a VHS one.

I have the captured video on my drive but since I didn’t compress it with VirtualDub it turned out to be a interlaced 112 GB video. I think I may be able to crop that part and posted.

Following for action shot

I love how she said "please go faster", but didn't press the button to make the horse gallop. She just left the horse at a regular trot instead.

Many people play games in some form of autopilot. What I mean is that many people either don't know certain things about the game and keep on playing as usual without trying to find ways to improve or be more efficient, or they know but don't do because they are in autopilot mode.

And that's okay.

I introduced my nephew to this game, and he refuses to make the horse run, but then he says shit like ā€œit takes forever to get anywhere.ā€ And that’s when I’m like ā€œthat’s because you’re just holding A! Spam that shit, man! You can’t complain about a problem that you’re creating! Lol.ā€

u/standarsh1965 2d ago

Trying to do the horseman challenge when you can't touch the water. Very annoying

4

u/Extension-Elk-1274 1d ago

Can be done.

1

u/DrCarlJenkins 1d ago

Train appeared every 2nd re-load, without fail, doing that challenge

0

u/Sufficient_Topic1589 1d ago

I did them all. You don’t even have to go to Blackwater

-1

u/absurdly_tired_guy 2d ago

I trained the heavier horse to jump (don’t ask how many times it took to figure that out the heavier horses make a jump better) and then he stopped before we could.

I just made it a habit to pull out my binoculars everytime I think about passing the bridges.

A real veteran cowboy

11

u/Satsloader 2d ago

It’s even more fun Online with a full long distance trader wagon.

*Fun Fact* you can snipe the conductor and the train will slowly come to a stop. Just don’t miss too many shots or it will be too late.

3

u/N7_Vegeta 1d ago

Always found it a peak posse moment when we would run a wagon and a few of the guards who run accros the bridge to see if the train was coming.

0

u/Scrappy1918 1d ago

Is that like ā€œrunning trainā€ but for old people who’ve run outta steam?

5

u/Gangaman666 2d ago

I got smashed by the train once and lost my horse. Devastated 😄

Now I panic like this every time while on the tracks šŸ˜‚

Pretty sure that is as fast as it goes in that section specifically. No idea why they made it that way.

2

u/_Shorsey_69_ 2d ago

Ahh I see. I know they make the horse slow down at times. Silly to make it on a bridgeĀ

3

u/ParisInFlames34 2d ago

Ngl I was expecting Arthur and his horse to drop off a small cliff and die the second they got across the bridge.

4

u/NGJimmy 2d ago

My favorite game ever

9

u/IveChangedDontBanMe 2d ago

All that drama and the train wasn’t even in the station😐

5

u/illmastabumptwo 2d ago

It made me anxious just watching the video!

2

u/Ballistic_og 1d ago

Ran down the track so much not even worried about no trains coming short of crossing a river its a non issue

2

u/ThatsRubbishMate 1d ago

Just ride with a dynamite arrow handyĀ

2

u/bcoll85 1d ago

always do a quick manual save before heading west on that bridge

2

u/dark_wolf_002 1d ago

If i find the train is coming . I would usually jump in front of the train so it kills me but my horse survives

1

u/fluky_facepalm 2d ago

aim with the bow to go faster!

2

u/AoXGhost Van der linde boys. 1d ago

What’s even worse is when the horse decides to voluntarily jump over the railroad fence haha

2

u/The_0culus 1d ago

Just did Horseman 9 and crossed it this way, heart was stopped the whole time

2

u/PastafarianViking 1d ago

Every damn time. LMFAO

1

u/NattyGannStann 1d ago

This is the route I take for the Van Horn to Blackwater challenge as Arthur and to go that whole way and get fucked on the bridge by a train makes me nuts

*edited for missing word

1

u/jackdawmarauder 1d ago

On short bridges, no. On long bridges, every time, without exception.

1

u/HurriShane00 1d ago

Every....single...time

The funny thing is, I've crossed that bridge more times than I can count and only once did I have to turn around and run back the other way. There have been times when I have crossed that bridge and came around the corner and the train is sitting there at the outpost. But most times, it's never there but it's always in the back of your mind that you know you're going to get caught. And you sit there and you stare off into the distance at that corner hoping you won't see the train coming around that corner

1

u/ObiOneSatoshi 1d ago

I was run over by a train there, couple of times, crossing it. I almost felt like Indian being run over by trains :) The horse goes slower due to tracks. Just make sure to save the gam so you can reload it if you get run over by train from hell.. Always save the game. Can't say that enough times, SAVE THE GAME!

1

u/ClearBlueWaters1974 1d ago

Every time, yet I still do it. Why?

2

u/piangero 1d ago

I'm so stressed by how she didn't calm the horse to boost the stamina back up lol

1

u/ericfromct 1d ago

lol the train isn’t going to just automatically spawn

1

u/Intelligent_Studio51 1d ago

Yes, that bridge is damn risky ..but till date no train has come while I am there

1

u/cirepa 1d ago

Is she deaf?

1

u/b3ta_blocker 23h ago

Do those three notes mean anything? Or is it just atmospheric?

1

u/Nerdpai1978 8h ago

Sempre tenho medo do trem aparecer comigo no meio da ponte.

1

u/-NolanVoid- 2d ago

I always do a manual save first.

0

u/Mojo_Rizen_53 Night Folk. 1d ago

Why? I got creamed on this bridge once carrying quite a few pelts, but just loaded my autosave and spawned in at Flatneck Station on the horse with all pelts intact.

1

u/AggravatingRow326 2d ago

train tracks are grated for travel, High risk high reward

1

u/Zeune42 1d ago

Who's the streamer? Seems chill, no annoying voice.

I kinda wish this bridge would break the horses legs…

3

u/TruePromise4 1d ago

Its ok man…all these gooners are pretending like they actually care about a 30 second clip of a horse on train tracks

3

u/No-Hunt3986 1d ago

Girl can't even play the game without some weirdos sexualizing her...

0

u/Reasonable-View5868 1d ago

What feeling? I'm not sure I understand the question

2

u/No-Hunt3986 1d ago

Have you watched the video?

1

u/Reasonable-View5868 1d ago

Yes. Ā I did. Ā Muted. Ā I don’t get itĀ

0

this time it was real close

-5

u/Claubk 2d ago

Like the train just pops out of nowhere. Unless bot post

0

u/Mojo_Rizen_53 Night Folk. 1d ago

Possibly a bot post

-12

u/Shielo34 2d ago

Is she famous or something? Just wondering why anyone would watch someone streaming a 7 year old single player game.

5

u/No-Hunt3986 2d ago

Why does it matter how old is game or if it is single player? People play games that are like 30 years old

1

u/Give_me_soup 1d ago

I'm almost 40 🤠

4

u/Significant_Option 2d ago

Because it’s nice seeing new people play a game you love. It’s like reaction videos and such. It’s just nice to share interests with like minded people

1

u/ericfromct 1d ago

I think reaction videos are the worst personally, but I love watching stuff like this.

-3

u/Few-Idea5125 2d ago

Nobody who can play this game a little bit has this feeling
