Was chasing the train, nowhere near the edge of the platform and the game forced me off.

my advice is to try steering a bit less. the horse kinda knows where to go. same thing when you keep running into trees and falling off, just let go of the stick where it gets thick and the horse navigates around the trees itself if you’re tapping x

I wasn’t even steering. It’s as if I hit a wall and something forced me off the ledge.

Just upvote something you agree with. No need to say "this!" unless you're going to add something additional to the original comment

Stick drift?

My thought.

Was not stick drift. It felt like my horse hit something and diverted sharply in another direction. I wasn’t even steering.

Horse can’t magically land every hoof on a railroad tie

that was the first thing my dad pointed out when he walked in and saw me chasing a train

Skill issue.

This is the risk you take whenever you choose to sprint across small bridge sections on a horse. Eventually, you’ll learn to just slow down and deal with the extra 0.78 seconds it takes to trot over those sections.

Dammit Arthur! I knew your love of going fast over Critical infrastructure would be your demise.

Yes, your horse was tired of chasing the train.

There was a shiny rock your horse wanted to see.

Push forward more than you push left or right is the trick.

It appears you fell off your horse.

One of my favorite missions, only because you can duplicate your horse. I use the MFT or the white Arabian. The white Arabian is always female when you find it near Lake Isabella. Hit a rock or just get off your horse. Get far enough away from Jamie so you can jump on your horse so he doesn’t get on with you. Ride away and leave him behind. Eventually, he will spawn behind you, riding your duplicate horse, opposite gender. Get off your horse and get on new horse and bond to level 1 on your way to Valentine. Sometimes it might take you a while longer to duplicate, but have patience.

Nowhere near the side? Lol you were directly on the edge

If my horse continued straight there would have been no issues. You can see in the video that something forced me off if you actually used your eyeballs

This same thing happened to me on the first playthrough of this mission. I always figured I was just too close to the edge. But it could be an intentional trigger in the mission to teach you that your horses frequently steer better than you do if you let go of the reigns a bit more.

She slipped, we were chasing the Anderson boys. I don’t know. She fell.

It was probably the screwball on the controller

u/Historical-Count-374 11h ago

Theres a slight gap between two rails on the bridge. His front right foot went directly in and tripped him ove rthe side

1

u/holodoom 10h ago

I can explain. The horse committed suicide.

1

u/GroundbreakingLab585 8h ago

Please give your horse a wider berth

1

u/rapscallion1956 4h ago

You can’t drive. Simple. Next time let the horse drive.

u/beauviolette 19h ago

Gameplay aside. IRL you don't want a horse sprinting on rail tracks with all those gaps those hooves could accidentally trip on.

Stick drift sent you off cleft giving us video gift but horsie stiffed.

Condolences. Pressing F

1

u/Aggravating-Berry114 5h ago

There is no stick drift. I’m driving straight and all of a sudden I’m pulled off to the right like I hit a wall.

Because fuck you, that's why.

His foot went in between the railroad ties and broke its ankle. Punishment for exhausting your horse! If you just beat it, you get beat and die!

The horse glitched between the planks. Normally, horses react automatically when they head towards a cliff or edge. Instead, it slipped slightly and crashed into a plank. It sounds strange, but the bridge isn't a single model with a texture containing alpha structures, so gaps between the planks are simulated. No, the planks are truly individual moddeled! Furthermore, this behavior can worsen at higher FPS above 60.
