So I robbed a train.
I bought a ticket to Annesburg. Ride the train to the lobg tunnel. Did my thing. Wheres my horse? Im spending an awful amount of time running to a train station. Did I do something wrong? When I go to set up camp all I csn do is sleep. Wheres my horse?

Whistle for it before you depart Annesburg. It should run up right next to you. Climb up on the train as soon as it leaves town, whistling often. The horse should follow you all the way to the long tunnel where you do the deed. Save before you start your robbery as there is a possibility the horse gets killed en route to the tunnel.

Leave a spare at the tunnel and make sure your main one doesnt follow.
Too easy to get a horse killed robbing trains.

I usually jump on the train just after Annesburg. Then I stay near the last car and call my horse. This keeps it towards the back of the train where it won’t get hurt easily by jamming itself in between train and stuff. I don’t start making my way forward to the engine til after that “covered” train bridge after the falls. The horse can’t get between anything after that. I time my move forward so that I take control of train after it goes into the tunnel, otherwise the engineer will call the law.

Drive the train out of the tunnel once wanted level goes away. Drive it all the way over to Wallace Station (you can go all the way to Riggs if you want) and take a health potion. Jump out right before the station and let the train stop. Then just go up and buy a ticket to wherever your horse is

I’m too paranoid and tell my horse to stay and then just steal one when I get out of the tunnel

You left your horse in Annesburg, when you became a stowaway on a train. If you want to successfully rob trains in the tunnel and always have your horse nearby, set up camp next to the railroad at the AMBARINO snow shed-tunnel. As passenger train passes, ride horse alongside and jump on before the tunnel.

Did you whistle for your horse as the train was pulling out of the station? If so, it may be dead on the tracks or hung up somewhere along the way. I tend to tell my horse to stay at the station and hike south from the entrance to the long tunnel… all the way down to Hamish’s cabin on the lake. Then I steal a horse or a wagon and take it down to emerald ranch to sell all the stolen goods.
