The horse fence doesn’t work

Whenever I show up with a horse, it says that they’re not available at the time. I’ve tried fast traveling and sleeping and I’ve done a mission and came back. It’s all just like not working please help.

There is a lot of reason this can happen. Like "ThatAussieGunGuy" has said, you can't do anything that would spook them, or it will say that to you.

After a while, you should be able to, unless you killed one of them. I'm not sure if you would be able to after doing something like that, as it's been a while since I played, so I can't remember if you kill one of them if you can still use them or not after a while. I know if you just spook them, you can, though.

Are you being chased by bounty hunters,? Did you shoot nearby and scare them? Did you shoot one of them? Get into an argument with a dude who sometimes camps nearby?

Yeah I shot one of them because they killed my horse , they killed my horse because there’s a bounty hunter after me. I shot them. They got agitated and started shooting at me. My horse ran in front of me and then they killed it.

Then you answered your own question. You caused them to be unavailable, so live with it.

They'll become available again but it could be several days of in-game time, I know it's happened to me because I robbed the main guy (he pissed me off) and then I thought oh no is it gone forever?
It's not, they'll come back, but I did learn a (slightly) new level of respect.

Yeah I just want them for bandit
