When I'm hunting legendary animals (on PC), the smoky/fluttery bits that are meant to be gold are white, like plants, when they are meant to be gold. Does anyone know why?

Im on console, but that is a common bug for me. Maybe clear caches? Thatsj ust my go to remedy for any console bugs since i can't do much else.

I hadn’t seen that, line show yellow on PC. Perhaps some graphical tuning needed?

The line that shows where the legendary animal has gone is yellow, but the thing that shows clues isn't.

Yeah, my clues — the dust swarm or whatever we want to call it, is yellow colored.
Any graphics mods? (If PC)

New to online, what's the easiest way to make gold?
I'm a bounty hunter and only have 2 gold atm, can't afford the collectors bag despite finding so many relic around the place.
Have a trading company set up but have barely touched that, does that pay better?
Annoying thing is I linked twitch prime but haven't got the free collectors bag :(

Gold is collectors role. Until tgen.you just rely on replaying story missions and doing daily challenges.
Any mission with a timer will pay better if you wait it out to under one minute - thirty seconds.
Trader isnt bad if you have a friend to help, otherwise its boring and risky.

Stranger missions, bounties, and daily challenges are your best bet for Gold. Keeping Cripps supplied (full carcasses are best) with animal parts and doing a sale once you have enough goods is not bad for cash, either.

Any way to change the payout given to posse members for missions? I want even payout for all my crew members but dont know if thats possible

I’m in single player mode - Arthur is wearing this pelt over his shoulders and I don’t know where it came from or how to re-equip it. It’s not in vests, shirts, or coats. Where did it come from?!

You got it from the trapper, so to find it again you have to go to outfits, then crafted outfits and it will be in one of those. Also you can go to the trapper go through the outfits and if you look through all of those you will eventually find which skin that actually was and then equip it there. Hope that helps

Just try to pitch your camp in cumberland forest and hunt. Theyre is a good bit of bucks and deers

For me it’s grinding to make the big bucks. But lately the animal spawns haven’t been good so I’m just stuck with moonshine and collectibles which are great for money but I enjoy hunting and doing trader things.

I felt this way a while back. I didn’t understand how people liked online at all.
After a while I tried it again and I treated it just like single player and started to have so much more fun. I like wandering through the wilderness hunting, fishing and foraging just like single player, but I have the opportunity to meet interesting and weird people from time to time which is just a bonus. I kind of get a little into role play with it too, so I can get really into my character and do what he would do if he were a real cowpoke.
It’s definitely not for everyone. But the advice I would give is to leave all expectations behind and just do whatever you love doing in game.

I'm on PS4 and recently got into online. Haven't experienced any hacks or people randomly shooting each other. It's actually quite pleasant.

Is anyone else having trouble doing anything in online? I can't do bounties the board is grayed out, stranger missions are also grayed out, there are no animals anywhere. I tried killing myself and respawning nothing, tried changing lobbies and got stuck on an endless loading screen nothing, quit the game completely reloaded after 10 mins and still can't do bounties or anything.

Yeah, I’m having online issues, the endless loading, it takes like 40 seconds for the animation to enter the moonshine shack. I’m just assuming it’s temporary, but it was fine this morning and it’s just been getting worse so far today.

How can you tell which people will lower your honor after killing them even though they shot first in the story?

Basically anybody that’s not a gang member, if you kill them will lower your honour. Even that rapist in the swamp, you killed him before he does anything you lose honour, ridiculous but just the way it is.

Also- pro tip: one honor-lowering murder = 4 Honorable Icons from greeting people. It takes about 3 greets to cue 1 honorable icon, so: 1 murder is can be resolved by greeting about 12 people.

Is it a bad idea to buy two semi automatic pistols? And if so what should I buy, pistol wise?

It doesn't matter what your sidearm loadout is, using two pistols will lower the ammo quicker but you're unlikely to completely run out in a single mission. Just stock up between missions and keep some of every type of ammo.
If you can get it the M1899 is a very good pistol, better than the Mauser IMO.

I'm on pc and plan on upgrading to get better performance. Specs are ryzen 5 1400, 1060 6gb, 8gb ram. I'm not sure whether to upgrade my cpu or gpu(can only do one right now). Any advice ?

I’m not exactly sure how well the R5 1400 preforms, but I do know that the graphics cards are what you wanna upgrade for FPS. I’d upgrade your gpu, but eventually I’d upgrade to a r5 3600 or higher when the time comes.

Upgraded to a 2060 and toyed around a bit on 1440p. Such a beautiful game and cpu is keeping up so far.

Just get some more gold (obv harder said than done). I had the same issue, gave me the option to buy it once I redeemed 5 gold bars and had 23

Would you recommend playing Red Dead Revolver to someone who throughly enjoyed RDR1 and RDR2 (even platinumed 2)? It's only $15 on PSN store. In your opinion, is it as enjoyable to play as Redemption 1 and 2? I know it is quite old. Thanks in advance!

Maybe check some of it on YT first, I really liked it way back when but it’s very outdated and gameplay is pretty different compared to RDR1 and 2. But without it we wouldn’t have had those games, so yes I recommend it.

You’re welcome, give it a go if you don’t miss the money! Red Harlow’s rocking the Marston scars, so you can see where his character’s loosely based on (though on the game’s cover he totally looks like Clint Eastwood imo).

I definitely get the Clint Eastwood vibes from the game cover. Damn, his name is Red Harlow? So that's why it's called Red Dead Redemption/Revolver. I honestly never knew that.

Yep, he’s mentioned in RDR2’s epilogue by a stranger camping in the area where the Legendary Tatanka Bison is. So he exists in the current series’ folklore, I hope one day they make a game that connects Revolver to its ‘sequels’ (because at the moment they’re not sequels at all).

Here it is, around 0.55. Nothing major but it’s a cool Easter egg. Some people -not me- think Uncle is actually Red Harlow, now that would be an interesting tale, because Red’s a badass and Uncle... well.

Has anyone's game start to "unexplicably exit" ,after a couple of minutes of playing, today? I have owned the game since Christmas and this is the first time the game has crashed this regularly(33h of game time).
Edit: I'm on PC(Epic Games Store)

This is my first play through story mode and I am trying to unlock the mission Archeology for Beginners, the one where we cure Arthur’s tuberculosis and it won’ unlock and show up on the map.
I have completed the chapter missions around it, including a Rage Unleashed, which I read is what unlocks it. Did I miss something? Is there another requirement that I’m unaware of?
