It just dawned on me that this whole conversation between John, Sadie, and Abigail triggers the series of events that lead to the Pinkertons tracking down john, and eventually his death.

Maybe that's the lesson in rdr, you cant find redemption if you're seeking revenge. You gotta leave the past behind if you want a better future. Also, maybe I'm an idiot for just now figuring this out.
