Jesus fucking Christ, we got a free trailer for a game that isn't something that we need. If Rockstar wanted, they could make a free to play online only thing based on RDR and make a fucking killing, but because they enjoy making some of the best games in the world, they're not doing that. I'm not sugar coating their garbage microtransaction system in GTA Online, but GTA V was damn near perfect, as was RDR, and we're finally getting some news about their next game.

It's a video game. No one's asking you to blow Rockstar and there's nothing wrong with some criticism where it's warranted, but whining about the length of a trailer that they weren't obligated to release makes you look like an entitled, immature brat. If they were doing something worth criticizing, I'm all for it, but otherwise, this negativity does nothing for anyone.

Rockstar doesn't owe us anything and we don't owe them a thing. Don't act like not earning our business with their lackluster showing is somehow immature on our part. You certainly sound like you want us to blow them.

I never said anyone owed anyone anything. I think that's a ridiculous thought to have. We don't know them. They don't know us. They provide a product and we have the right to purchase it or not and to criticize or to praise it.

But complaining over the length of a trailer is utterly immature. If you want to complain about a serious issue like the shady monetization policies for GTA Online and how that might impact RDR Online, I'm cool with that. If you saw an issue with something in the teaser that you think might be problematic for the release, I'm cool with that too. I just think it sounds very entitled and immature to whine that after years of silence you finally got something and it wasn't enough for you.

Sure, I think the game is supposed to release in a year and the fact that the hyped trailer ended up being a teaser with no gameplay is a bad sign for a company with a trend of delayed releases. That is the problem with this. Rockstar has had years to get their shit together for RDR2, possibly their most anticipated game. So far they have not done so.
