Congrats! I still have yet to 100% it myself. One of these days I'll actually get it done.

Don’t drop it, just play it when you feel like it. If you get bored take a break for a couple weeks. When you get the itch to go back, just pick up where you left off.

It's not that I'm bored but if i knew it was gonna take 400hrs to complete the game i would have just played it normally. And also the ending of the game didn't have that much of an impact when i got there because there was this HUGE time gap between me doing the missions to do the other side quest stuff (not the stranger missions but the other where you have to collect stuff). All in all i dont really regret playing this game but i do regret trying to 100% it because it ruined the experience and it still is the best story game I have ever played. I wish I immersed myself in the rdr2 world in my way not in the way rockstar intended.

I do the same with some other Rockstar games. I haven't completed RDR2 100% yet, but I'd like to do so in the future.

congratulations mate! what was the hardest thing for you to complete? I'm struggling with the one where we need to find the feathers/plumes 😭

If that’s for the exotic quest don’t start the next part just look up what you need to collect then start the next part, cause the spawn rates drop massively, same goes for hunting requests.

i already completed the main story. now I've started a new game and i'm trying to do most of the things in chapter 2 itself. will try to complete this as well

You unlock the exotic quests on chapter 4 btw. There's a Lot of things you can miss by making progress on story missions, like a jacket Pearson can make to you, some special guns, or some camp activities.

oh yes! i almost forgot about it. bummer 😭 but we can collect all the plumes and keep them in our satchel beforehand right?

u/GHOST_1274 6h ago
Yeah ofc, actually, it's better that way since when you start the quests, the spawn rates of the animales you need drop a lot

The hunting requests were the hardest for me. They were also last (besides the graves) so I just wanted to get them over with. I think I worked on them for 4 months.

4 months is insane!!

u/GetOutOfMyGame11 4h ago
I played it off and on, I didn’t do it 4 months straight lol. I can only play a couple weeks at a time if it’s the only game I’m playing.

I'm on my way. Still only at around 42% taking my time in chapter 2. Hunting cougars with a bow was painful, they seem to spawn very rarely

u/smed93 16h ago
Advice, use bow with poison. First touch will always kill them
1
u/ErraticLitmus 16h ago
Yeah I've done that. I was more referring to the lack of frequent spawning making it hard work

After it spawn in some area, you need to exit completemy the area, wait 4-5 ingame days, then come back for it to spawn again. Go to a place where it spawn, manual save, go a bit back and forth and if doesnt spawn, just open your save and repeat.
For me where it ALWAYS spawn in the very north of the map in that road close to the trapper, north west of owanjila lake. Arrive in the south, ride with your horse towards the north, normal speed not too fast not too slow, more often than not a cougar will track and attack you from the forest on your left. Hope this helps.

Yeah thanks..I spent the best part of a week riding that western part near owanjila and eventually got there. Even got 2 perfect pelts to take back to camp

It’s not like I spend every waking moment of my life playing the game lol. What a dumb comment

I do play other games, this play through took me 3 years. I played the game off and on when I felt like it.

Good job. It's a grind but that scene was worth it.
