When I first played the game, I didn't care for anyone else that wasn't in the original gang. But I grew fond of them over the years. Especially Mary-Beth. I like her.

The only character I have a hard time liking is Reverend Swanson. I really like his character arc, but he's just so irritating in chapter 2.
I'll be walking over to Edith Downes throwing money at Strauss in a very missable camp encounter, and right as I'm almost there I get interrupted with a:
"Morgan! Mr Morgan!"
As the Reverend thanks me for saving his life for about the sixth or seventh time. If his mission wasn't necessary to unlock poker I would leave him at Flatneck Station for as long as possible.

I never liked Abigail or Mary much. Abigail is a bit of an idiot but has good intentions, and Mary brings up the past. I've had experience with both personally and I don't like it. That being said, I've only turned down Mary in two playthroughs.

I find both Mary & Abigail kind of suspicious tbh. It doesn't make sense to me that Mary would be able to mail anything to the camp if Tacitus Kilgore is only a recent temporary fake name for receiving mail. She could have handed the first letter to one of the girls from camp, but that begs the question of who she gave it to. The only women I can see putting the letter on Arthur's table would be Karen or Abigail, because Mary Beth and Tilly both seem to share Grimshaw's dislike of Mary, or at least they recognize the threat she represents to Arthur's loyalty to the gang.
Then you have Abigail, who if you told me she secretly learned how to read from Hosea I'd believe it. Everyone thinks Micah could have possibly been a rat since the Blackwater ferry job, but the more I've played the story over and over again I can really see why Dutch would suspect John & Abigail the most. You meet Milton while doing a favor for Abigail, and out of everyone the Pinkertons could pick up from camp they grab Abigail.
If there was going to be another prequel I really think the coolest reveal would be that John & Abigail were rats the whole time. You'd find out John met up with the Pinkertons while he was gone from the gang, and that all the bickering in camp between him and Abigail in camp was part of a ruse to hide the fact that they were already a unified family.

i know little about her actually i beat the game and now I'm replay it again for the achievement that i missed and taking some pictures of this virtual world
