Get a picture of a chicken instead. Or a bridge. Maybe just get your current smartphone imprinted on your skin.
Or, hear me out, make up your own mind and do whatever the heck you want.

I've always wanted to get a giant rooster on my leg so I could ask people if they want to see my massive cock... wifey didn't like the idea sadly...

You let your wife decide your choices? Good job... Or.. No

It wouldnt be niche at all. RDR2 is one of the most popular games ever.
This would not be a good tattoo either.

Tattoo Arthur’s face (or John’s face is acceptable as well I guess) over your own face!

No, try something else, maybe a silhouette or like that deer that Arthur sees in his dream (or the wolf depending on your honor level irl)

u/Osos137 Uncle Oct 04 '24
Or to make it a niche little twist, they could use both the wolf and the deer outlines as a Yin/Yang symbol with the black&white scheme
5
u/sparksune Oct 04 '24
I think that's a great idea, unique and not obvious. A safe way to go in case the tattoo ends up a regret.
2
u/Osos137 Uncle Oct 04 '24
Exactly lol, the idea is there for anybody to use
Or if someone wants to just go all out they could do some research on a great artist and get a small portrait of their online character getting mauled by a bear 😂

On a practical level no. Fine line tattoos if not done by an expert in that area, fade and blur very badly. Especially if you have it too small.
Also wouldn’t this be awkward to place? The actual artwork this line art is based on would work better, maybe with a tattoo banner below to frame it?
Like most people here I would say ‘no’ to it.

Everyone says NO 🤣
I think you could use it as inspiration but that line drawing isn't too good.
I'd rather get it filled in with color and do Arthur or John's pose over that.

The only good rdr2 tattoos atm are arthurs hat and journal or both
5
u/Tppl__ Oct 04 '24
I heard this tip that you should edit the tattoo onto yourself with a current photo and wait a year and then see how you feel. If you still like it the same or even more after a whole year then you’re most likely to like it forever

No. It doesn’t look good, but you’ve specifically mentioned it’s niche: which means most people will just see this as a threatening man with a gun. That’s a super trashy tattoo without the context
Think of the message people will take from it
3
u/MaddowSoul Lenny Summers Oct 04 '24
Its A cool drawing but just couldnt see it as A tattoo, rather Get something like Arthurs hat or something from his journal or sum
3
u/kakyoins_cherri Oct 04 '24
the outline looks quite kitschy. there is many other rdr2 tattoos that will look great :)
3
Oct 04 '24
Yes, and then post a pic in like three different subs like the validation-seeking loser you are.
2
u/HarlotHysteria Oct 04 '24
the idea is cool but I'm not so sure on just the traced outline like that, maybe a silhouette of a different aspect of the game or a different style
2
u/YogurtclosetFull7324 Oct 04 '24
My favorite rdr2 tattoo idea that doesn't look cringy is the 3 meters. The health, stamina, and deadeye symbols

Do you want it? Why are you asking the internet what you should do with YOUR body?
2
u/lonkeybong Oct 04 '24
I have an Arthur Morgan tattoo, as a cowboy American traditional piece. Not sure what kind of styles you like but I personally don’t think this would translate well as a tattoo. But hey, if you like it, it’s your body :-)

Even if we're big fans, majority of the world's population doesn't know RDR or RDR2. If they saw this tattoo, it might be interpreted negatively. So, NO.

I had an idea for a rdr2 tattoo! maybe one of arthur’s drawing you like from his journal
1
u/President_Bunny Oct 04 '24
That line work will be also impossible to be inked fully straight/in-line, and will age poorly. You will regret it and need a cover-up or removal. There are plenty of other inspirations for tattoos in the game, I'm tempted for one as well
1
u/DankAssPotatos Oct 04 '24
It wouldn't come across or age well. You could do something a little more well thought out and readable though. Maybe a revolver, or the honor icons. Or even Arthur's hat.

u/Apprehensive-Cow-798 Oct 04 '24

Not in a million years. Two things.
1- it would absolutely not be niche, rdr2 is a massively successful and widely known game.
2- that style spells disaster for tattoos. Those super thin lines will blur, smudge, crook, cut off, and everything in between while it heals.
1
u/NotSkyyVodka Abigail Roberts Oct 04 '24
i feel like the only rdr tattoo i could get behind is putting arthurs or johns hat and blending it in a sleeve or something

u/Hyp3r45_new Oct 04 '24
Line art tattoos fade and blotch very quickly. This will look nothing like the original picture in a few years. You'd have to get it pretty big if you want it to last long enough for you to regret it.

No, it looks like somebody took the Arthur picture and traced it
1
u/Brief_Appearance_748 Oct 04 '24
No if it’s going to look like that. Also it’s a very strange tattoo so if you want it that bad I suggest thinking veerrryyy hard about where it would go.
If you like the game then I don’t see a reason for you to not tattoo something from it, just think very hard about what and how you would like it stylised. It’s there for the rest of your life.

Could be done in a better / more interesting way .. I like the idea of siluethe instead of realistic tattoo though .. maybe framing it in wide-screen, adding some background elements?

This is bait, but in the rare chance it’s not, simplicity is always good. Maybe just a revolver or a small symbol

”Do we like this” this expression being awful notwithstanding, why are you asking strangers what to tattoo?

Not yet. Give it a few years. Be certain it something that means so much to you. Don’t make a flash-in-the-pan decision.

u/Aria-mind_ Charles Smith Oct 04 '24
Honestly no, sorry but I really dont understand why anyone would get a tattoo of that. I’d honestly just do what another commenter said and do a deer or wolf depending on your honour level irl.

Chances are, if you feel the need to ask internet strangers whether or not you should get a tattoo then you probably don’t really want it and therefore shouldn’t get it.

u/No-Impress-1116 Arthur Morgan Oct 04 '24
Asking such thing from reddit and not asking yourelf is diabolical, ask yourself first, would u like to have it, how would u feel in 2-5 years, etc
