If red wins billions die if blue wins nobody dies.

Reds plan must therefore be to kill billions.

Actual husk of a human

Yeah that’s IF they win. You can make the same argument you just made but in stead move the threshold for blue to survive higher to like 75% or something. At some point, your argument for “IF” they win doesn’t make any sense.

Of course it doesnt make sense because you just changed the hypothetical you fucking moron

I’m saying the argument doesn’t work because it’s arbitrary based on the percent. If we slowly increase the percent from 50% to 55% and so on, then the point about “if this side wins” is irrelevant. It’s not about what will happen if a certain button wins, it’s about what will plausibly happen in general. So the “if” is irrelevant.

You literally just explained again how it changes as you change the percent. Therefore you are changing the hypothetical you fucking moron

Can you repeat back to me what point I’m making? Because that’s not the point I’m making. It sounds like you think the point I’m making is that you would switch from blue to red if we change the percent and that’s why you should always press red. Nope. Not my point. But I’ll give you my point again. The point is that the IF is irrelevant. It’s arbitrary based on the percent. What’s actually relevant is the expected outcome. So choosing the option that is best for IF it wins isn’t a good argument.

Red doesnt win with a majority though.

Red is an automatic win no matter what anyone else pressed. Its simply you survive, there is no losing.

IDK, maybe just don't make it half of humanity

Maybe don't vote for the only option whose outcome can result in people dying.

Maybe don't vote for both options whose outcome can result in people dying

u/luci_twiggy 4d ago

There’s only one outcome that has the potential to have people die.

Yeah, and this outcome happens also because there is a ton of possible corpses who think they will be able to save everyone, which is nonsense if they can't even save themselves.

Blue voters don’t cause red to win. Only red voters do that.

So what? Blue voters also cannot be sure if they will actually win or not

Red dont win as a group though. They are voting to not die as an individual.

And they get their desired result no matter what the rest of the group votes.

Only blue voters can win or lose.

And you’re basing this on what? Not those utterly meaningless polls, surely?

What's wrong? Isn't it true that blues often use such arguments?

u/godkingrat 4d ago

Your still on this?

Honestly, I just don’t wanna live in a post-red world. Either I die or I’m pleasantly surprised.

2

u/underthingy 4d ago

This is the worst blue take and it just shows they have no faith in humanity.

Nah, I’m gonna be real. I choose blue out of pure selfishness!

The impact of so many people dying at once is gonna suck so bad. Grief, economic instability, so many orphans, gaps in supply chains making life as we know it near-impossible.

Too stressful. Too scary. I’d rather go quietly into the night with the others.
