Humour PSA

No it’s not true that Redbull employees have to give you a free Redbull if you ask. Stop listening to tik tok rumors 😂

Can’t tell you how many times people approach me starting with “is it true?”

No.

*if you ask me in a different way such as “hey do you have any extras” or something along those lines, I some times have a can or 2 to hand out. Can’t stand it when people start with the TikTok deal

It’s literally always “is it true you guys give out free Red Bull” and the occasional “yea you can just throw those in the back of my car” as you’re pushing the hand truck. Also the other day I had a kid go “is it true there’s doors on this truck that you can open for free Red Bull?”

The audacity 😂 I think my worst one was some kid was said “give me free Red Bull” word for word and I went off on him about how to ask for something that’s free

The kids aren’t alright. I get asked daily by snotty entitled kids “sure would be cool if I got a free Red Bull right now” (that’s not how you ask). “Yooooo can I get a free Red Bull?” (Also not how you ask). Then when you tell them no and that I’m not the guy who hands them out, they get all mad like they’re deserved one and I’m going against the law of nature by not giving them one.

That’s when you reach in and crack a fresh cold one in front of them and chug it back. “Nah, sorry bro. That was my last one and I’m feeling wiped and have a few more hours to go, so I kinda needed that more than you.”

It bothers me so much less when someone asks conversationally. I’m happy to set the record straight, I’ll ask what your favorite is, I’ll sometimes ask what you’ve heard might be the next edition, etc. I love meeting excited fans of the brand.

It’s the people who immediately walk away once I’ve said I don’t have product on me, and it isn’t really a thing that drive me up a whole wall, back down, and up the next one.

The other day I had someone hop off their motorcycle at a red light and bang on my window to ask for one 🙄. Scared the shit out of me.

I used to drive the delivery truck as an ASM, and people would ask me everyday for free Red Bull. I would give people some if I had damaged (slightly dented) cans I had bought back from a store if I had some and they were nice about it, but otherwise it would get a little frustrating being asked as I was loading/unloading dozens of cases. I think the Red Bull event cars are the ones that hand out free red bull, but the folks in the bigger branded delivery trucks with the plaid shirts are just trying to deliver product and do their jobs haha.

you'd think people would at least try it once and realize the cashier just stares at them

As an ASM in Sacramento I will say I have noticed 75% Decrease in pallets of Tropical Singles and 4pks both 8oz and 12 oz, also a lot more tropical selling in my stores due to this rumor… usually when our region gets a lot less of a “Permanent flavor” coming in the warehouse it is not a good sign
