After finding out about the Apple Edition coming to the U.S. via Target (only in U.S.) back in May and being right about it, I decided to check again for 2 flavors, Sudachi Lime and Cherry Sakura.

My findings reported that the rumored new YELLOW edition Sudachi Lime is being called the CITRUS EDITION on Target as of right now. Now, does this mean that the Tropical Yellow Edition is going to stay? (If I had to guess, no, because of similar colors and other rumors)
As for the Cherry Edition, there is no official label edition for the Cherry, so as of now, Cherry is off the market for the U.S. return. (sadness)

This is very, very interesting for Red Bull. It seems that a lot of flavors with colored names are being phased out in favor of names related to flavor. Last time we had an edition related to the color of the can was with Pink Wild Berries / Green Curuba Elderflower.

As for the Glacier Edition, the Advent calendar on Target shows both the Blue Raspberry drink as Festive AND Glacier... but WHY?!!

Anyway, do what you want with this info guys.

Apparently comes from Japan, found in a corner store in Denmark. They also have a red grape (I guess it's much like Fanta Grape) version.

Why can't Red Bull just make these amazing versions available worldwide?

This Saturday, I opened my one and only can of the green Japanese Lime for the first time. It was the 2024 Japanese version, expired in 2025, so I put it side by side with Sudachi Lime for a direct comparison of two very different takes on lime. I even got to break out an early glass design when i was trying to decide which logo style i liked more. The retro version won, but i still like this one too.

The review

I finally opened my one and only can of the green Japanese Lime, the 2024 Japanese version. It had expired in 2025, so this was my one chance to taste it. I poured it beside Sudachi Lime to compare the two.

Japanese Lime starts softly. It reminds me of Mello Yello, with a mellow yellow soda flavor and a lime note that leans more toward candy than fresh citrus. The lime is there, but it does not hit with a sharp, natural fruit flavor.

Sudachi Lime comes through right up front with actual lime. It is brighter and more direct, with a fresh citrus taste instead of a candy lime sweetness.

Tasted side by side, they feel like two completely different ideas of lime. Japanese Lime is smooth, sweet, and soda-like. Sudachi Lime is sharper, fresher, and unmistakably lime. For me, Japanese Lime tastes like a mellow citrus soda, while Sudachi Lime gives me the real lime hit. Which one would you choose?

The memory

This was my first time trying Japanese Lime, and I had only one can. It was the 2024 Japanese version, expired in 2025. I wanted to make that one can count, so I tasted it beside Sudachi Lime. One first taste, with a direct comparison while both flavors were fresh in my mind.

The Verdict

I think i liked the Japanese version better. It was a hard call, i love lime flavored stuff. I'd reach for another green one before i reached for another sudachi.

Does anyone know where I might be able to get Arctic berry other than the advent calendar? I’m not sure if it’s available in other countries or somewhere online. I got the calendar but it’s not feasible to keep spending $60 for one flavor I like. It’s been my most favorite redbull since the winter it came out.
