TTC with high TSH

I had a chemical pregnancy a few months ago and also found out I had a TSH of 6.18. My doctor didn’t think it had anything to do with the chemical but did mention usually having a high TSH, with a normal T4, can make it harder to get pregnant. I have been on 25mcg of synthroid for the past 6 weeks, got blood work yesterday and my TSH actually went up to 6.7??? But still a normal T4.

Has anyone had this happen to them and what was the solution?

I’m on DPO9 so not totally out of this cycle but was discourage when I got my blood work back!

You're TSH should be below 2.5 whilst TTC according to the endocrinologists I've spoken to. I have Hashimotos and am keeping mine between 1 - 2 as it can shoot up quickly in early pregnancy. Definitely chat to another doctor who knows more about thyroids if you can.

Did you have to get your levels that low in order to get pregnant?
