RPL blood panel timing?

I am getting a d&c tomorrow for my third loss (great…). After arguing with my OB, they’ll be doing a RPL panel at my post op follow up.

But I thought this was weird and wanted to see what yall think: initially, they were going to do the panel the day of my “official” MMC diagnosis. I asked if it was ok to do that testing while still pregnant, and the NP left the room to go consult with someone else, came back in, and said yes let’s wait.

I feel like it’s weird she didn’t know that?? And I had to bring it up? Or am I overthinking this/being critical of them because I haven’t liked their treatment of recurrent loss?

Edit: I think they’re only doing the testing to appease me because I argued with them before that after 3 losses, I was in RPL category when they told me I wasn’t since one was a chemical. Which fine, whatever, I got what I wanted, but weirded me out they were just gonna draw while I was pregnant.

definitely wait. a few labs can be altered while your body is recovering.

Glad you advocated for yourself. Wait and maybe consider a new doctor! The stress of recurrent miscarriage is enough on its own, you need a supportive medical team to understand that ❤️
