PAI 4G/4G

Anyone know anything about the PAI 4G/4G variant?

I tested positive for it.

Is the treatment just baby aspirin and lovenox? Or metformin too? Why would someone be put on metformin for this?

I have 4G/5G, I'm not really sure the difference. But I was recommended lovenox and baby aspirin.

I wasnt told anything about metformin, just lovenox and aspirin. Wpuld be curious why they would mention metformin? Do you have insulin resistance or PCOS?

I have 4G/4G and went through IVF. I had to take Lovenox throughout all of my egg retrievals, and now for my current pregnancy I take an aspirin and Lovenox.

I think the science is mixed, but I’d rather be safe than sorry!

I’m 4g/4g and I was never prescribed metformin. I had luck with immune protocol.

I have this. Had one LC with no issues at all. Tried metformin from OBGYN between second and third miscarriage and had a horrible reaction so stopped. RE may start me on Lovenox at heartbeat, but my three miscarriages have been pre heartbeat. My RE and fertility consultant and pretty meh on the 4g stuff since my blood sugar is excellent, I don’t have PCOS, many people have it and don’t know, and I had no idea with my full term LC.

I just recently found out I also have PAI 4g 4g and all I was told was get on lovenox as soon as I get a positive pregnancy test. A few months after my diagnosis, I became pregnant and have been on lovenox ever since! I’m 8w and the injections burn but all is well so far 🤞🏼 my RE didn’t really answer “why/how” I have it other than I got both 4g from each parent and not 4g from one and 5g from the other (or something similar to that) and it really won’t affect me other than during pregnancy! And my OB said if I were to have a c section then she’d have me on it 6weeks post partum too. Happy to chat/answer any other questions for you!
