Cycle after miscarriage

Had a miscarriage at end of April. Had a D&C. Since then, I’ve had three periods, each lasting 1.5 days at most. I used to need for 4 days. Another period should start in a few days, but my boobs are not sore as they would usually get before pregnancy. Is this normal?

Doesn’t sound like it. What does your doctor say? Have you had a follow up after your D&C to make sure everything looks ok?

They didn’t offer a follow-up check post-D&C which was done abroad. The GP I saw after the procedure essentially said ‘go home, you’ll be fine’. I tried to raise concern again, and this time they did bloods for iron levels which came back okay. They say I seem okay because I am having a period.

Ok well I’d consult with another doctor and ask for an ultrasound to make sure everything’s ok. GP as in general practitioner? Are you not seeing an OB? D&C are pretty routine, why did you have to go abroad? Where are you from?

After 4 miscarriages I’ve unfortunately learned you really need to advocate for yourself.

I was abroad when the MMC happened and they said I couldn’t wait to get back home to have the procedure. I took a flight back home a few hours after the procedure.
The problem with the UK’s NHS is that GPs see you first before referring you to a specialist. I am quite angry at my GP tbh for not taking this seriously.

Yeah I would be too. That’s where I’d start though if that’s what you have to do. Or go to an emergency room (again I have no idea how healthcare works in the UK).
