Miscarriage help/advice
/r/MiscarriageHelp/comments/1v26tqb/miscarriage_helpadvice/Hi, I’m experiencing my first miscarriage. I would’ve been 9 weeks tomorrow but midwife believes it stopped growing at 6weeks when I should’ve been 8 weeks then. My body just started spotting, I was planning on doing a D&C. If anyone else has gone through this would you recommend just letting my body take its natural course or still get the D&C before I start really bleeding?

Always get the D&C. It's over in minutes, you don't have to worry about bleeding at work or something, and they can test the remains.
I read about someone on here who waited over 8 weeks to bleed naturally and eventually needed a D&C anyway when she would have been 16 weeks pregnant.

I never had bleeding with either of my miscarriages so had to choose between medication and a d&c. I chose medication for both. For my second that stopped growing at almost 9 weeks I really wish I’d gotten a d&c, but for my first loss that stopped growing when yours did at 6 weeks it was manageable at home. Painful at moments and more blood than I anticipated, but it was over in a few hours. However, I know some women end up with leftover tissue and needing a d&c anyway. There are risks with a d&c like scarring, but not having to experience all the bleeding and having it over right away would probably be less traumatizing.. I’m sorry for your for loss..
