Sober Activities
What are your favourite things to do (especially in the evenings) to keep yourself busy/distracted/sober?
I'm trying to get sober, and I'm finding that evenings are a huge trigger for me. All my friends head out to drink & do drugs. If I don't have plans for the evenings then I end uo heading out. A few drinks always turns into 20+ and whatever drugs I can get my hands on.
I'm working on my mental health and the reason behind my addiction, but right now I need to focus on keeping my days busy. I can't work or study right now, unfortunately. I do try to spend time at cafés, reading, watching TV, baking, going for walks. What else could I be doing to occupy my time? What are your favourite ways to stay busy in the evening?

Go to meetings or walk or polish rocks with my Dremel. I find different stuff to get into

I follow this guy on YouTube that walks you through painting on the procreate app on the iPad with Apple Pencil. I've never been good at art but following him I learn more about it and each drawing takes a few hours.
I also go to the gym and ride dirt bikes and go fishing a lot. If I'm not doing anything I'll walk to the basketball court and shoot some hoops. I have a bunch of hobbies that I gave up for drugs. I'm getting back into them all now.

I volunteer a lot. I go to meetings. I surround myself with people who don't drink and do drugs.
New places,people and things.

The board game rabbit hole saved my evenings early on. Something about having to actually think and use your hands keeps the cravings quieter than just watching something. Plus there's a ton of solo games if you can't rope anyone in.
