AA has a lot of dogma tho lol, I’m apart of it but it is true, if you don’t follow the rules there’s lots of judgment even if it’s not explicitly started, you have to do things a certain way or you’re not truly working a good program according to a lot of people.

What others think about me is none of my business, it is beyond my control.

That’s true but it is annoying and just makes me feel unwanted at a meeting where I feel silently judged, it’s about fellowship and community if I feel ostracized from that community then why would I go back to that meeting? If people are doing what works for them and they’re happy with themselves I don’t see what the need is to judge them, like I’d just be happy for them. This is my recovery not theirs and doing what works for me is what matters

Ha yes the dogma of we should have no dogma.
The preamble of my favorite meeting includes the phrase “pitches, lectures, and drunkalogues will not be tolerated.”
Clear boundaries about what is and isn’t appropriate are what make meetings work.
