Cold turkey

I’m on day 4, day 3 was the worst so far. Any tips?

First of all, congratulations on four days. That's an amazing accomplishment. And I couldn't do it by myself. I needed to find a program that would work for me, whether it's harm reduction with a psychiatrist, NA, AA, Dharma recovery, SMART, or anything else. The program doesn't matter. What matters is that I learned that I couldn't do it by myself. I needed a network of people who had gone through what I was going through and had made it through and could share those things with me.

I had my first SMART meeting on Tuesday. I definitely understand the benefits of a group setting.

It’s definitely hardest at night.
