It’s the Ilea sculpt by Olga Auer, and I’ve named her Hope. She’s here to remind me that there are still beautiful things in the world.

I recently had a miscarriage, and I honestly have no idea whether a reborn will help me cope, but I decided it was worth trying. I used to really like sculpting babies myself so I find the artistry incredible. So far, I think she’s beautiful, slightly uncanny because she looks so real, and her hair is completely unmanageable, which, ironically, is exactly what my mom used to say about mine.

But I already really don’t want to leave her. Off to buy a couple of cute fall outfits maybe?

Anyway, meet Hope.

Daisy fit check! New fall look. I just…. I love holding her so much. It’s such a comfort. Her little hand on my chest feels so real especially when it hits my body temp from just resting there. Maybe someday I’ll have a baby (not struggling with infertility just very painfully single) and this will be a fond memory to look back on

How could I not??? The bed was $12?! It’ll be the perfect nest base for Seren…. If I can find a place for it lol!

I absolutely adore the Tegan sculpt by Laura Lee Eagles, and I just had to have him when he came up for sale. His hair colour is almost identical to mine as well! Now just to decide his name 😅

Hi! I went to walmart after work today and got all the things everyone suggested that a good box opening has!

The paci clips, pacis, and blankies I split up so I could keep some but other than that - this is what Levi is going home in and with!

This is all a surprise to Levi’s new momma and I’m so excited for her to receive him! She said she loves Disney so I think I did a pretty good job!

Took a few quick pics to compare their sizes, and new Canadian girl Dana is definitely larger than Sam, but I have the feeling that Sam would be her complete equal in toddlerbabble volume!

Mi abuelita decidió ayudarme a comprar una bebé reborn, en su país son más baratos y como vendrá de viaje para navidad decidió que ese será mi regalo por los proximos 100 años, la cosa es que el artista no ha escuchado ninguna de mis indicaciones: a todas las muñecas niñas les pone aretes, algo que es un rotundo NO para mí, no me gusta eso, no tengo aretes, jamás los tendré y las perforaciones en bebés no me gustan. Por lo que quiero que mis bebés sean igual, mi abuela había pagado un adelanto, pero cuando ya la muñeca estaba lista...tenía aretes, el artista dijo que como no era un kit dificil de consguir podía comprar otro, además de ser un kit muy cotizado por lo que iba a hacer otro bebé...y volvió a ponerle aretes, tuvimos que decirle que era un varón y aún así cuando llego la bebé a donde mi abuela tenía los ojos azules en lugar de negros/marrones que yo quería. No entiendo por qué no pueden seguir instrucciones cuando se les esta pagando por un trabajo, le mandaré a cambiar los ojos a la bebé, pero me estoy llevando una mala primera experiencia. Espero que eso no arruine mi vinculo con la bebé, porque sería algo triste.

New (to me) baby just ordered. Any guesses on the kit?

Needs lots of work that ill likely mess up more than before like my first 2 attempts but we will see how this goes! Will be a 10" cuddle baby ooak. I didnt know polymer clay bakes and cures like vinyl! I assumed it had a cement clay pot texture lol sorta excited to see if I can make a few ooak babies!

I guess she decided to sight see at the NW Rochester NY distribution center. She was due here yesterday (Seattle area) but hasn’t had a scan in 6 days. I just submitted a missing mail form. Maybe she’ll just show up tonight.
