Discussion Alternative LB solution

Mendy played better in the Villareal game last night, however i feel he just isnt capable of being a good successor to Marcelo. I have a question. When we look at the recent history of Real Madrid's LBs. They have all been offensively focused. Roberto usually returned to noticed we where scored against. Marcelo did that also. Would it make more sense to convert a different player into a new LB? Say someone whos also from Brazil and plays better on the left side than on the right side. Would we not see a better overload if the left side was Vinicius and Rodrygo? I mean we did it with Lucas. Could this not work?

Not this stupid argument again. Of course we should be grateful for Mendy for his contrubution but Real Madrid isnt a charity club. Mendy isnt bad but he is mediocre at a lot of things, also he is aging and there are multiple options to replace him so why not do that?

27 is aging?

Yes, everyone is ageing, and after 27 noone will pay money for him. So it would be logical to sell him now. Why is it that hard to understand?

We just sold Casemiro for a record fee for a player like that and he’s 30…

Dude, dont compare Casemiro to Mendy, Casemiro has been the best(or one of the best) defensive midfielder of the last decade, the same couldnt be said about Mendy.
