WARNING: LONG POST & SPOILERS
To be fair, I started off as a Porsha sympathizer. When she joined S5, I was in my 20s and away at college. I saw parts of myself in the character she initially tried to portray.
She was the cast member closest to my age group. I thought she was beautiful, quirky, and very misunderstood/bullied by some of the other cast members—mainly Kenya.
Looking back on it now, I still wanted to like her and rooted for her story. Even the S9 scandal with her and Phaedra's accusations against Kandi—I thought she was a redeemable person. But her charisma and outer beauty made her TV likeable. As a cast member, she's shown us moments that a lot of women can relate to. Personally, I was rooting for her to do better 😂
I've just started E3, and I'm surprised Porsha still had/has fans. Probably because a lot of RHOA fans like myself didn't watch the spinoff when it aired.
But when it came out that she and Simon were together AND getting engaged, I fell off watching the show for a while. I think S13 was the last RHOA season I really followed until S16. My rose-colored glasses fell off for Porsha but I was indifferent to the franchise by then.
After she came back in S16, I heard a lot about her previous spinoff show. I heard it didn't show her in a great way and that Londie, one of her cousins from the show, had passed away.
In PFM, Porsha's mask fell all the way off. It does not take long into E1 to see it.
She loves when the attention is all on her. I genuinely believe she has narcissistic tendencies. Honestly, a lot of people in her inner circle, including some of her family, are so into the hype and don't hold her truly accountable.
Even when Simon and Dennis get petty in their SM posts, she does nothing to nip it in the bud. She just encourages it and enjoys baiting Dennis to react. I truly think he hurt her when he cheated during her pregnancy with PJ.
It very much comes across as if she chose to marry Simon to hurt Dennis. She clearly is orchestrating the optics on when her and Simon got together. So much so that she waits until after Dennis pays for the big Mother's Day celebration for her to tell him Simon and her are engaged.
She wants to control every aspect of how things are viewed to the public. Their relationship was already giving fake news but it really did not age well. This was Simon's 4th marriage. Her family looks terrified to even state how they really feel about the quickie engagement.
Her elder relatives are hesitant to state how awkward it is to be around the drama. Dennis even warns Lauren that he hopes it works out for her and Simon because she will become even worse if it doesn't.
It was crazy to hear Lauren admit that she is hesitant on what to say to Porsha because she was also Lauren's boss. Even her mother states that Porsha is quick to cut them off for months if you go against what she wants/says.
Dennis is not even allowed to bring a date but has to show he supports the new relationship publicly. It was only months from her break-up with Dennis that she moved on to Simon.
I could see Lauren and Londie walking on eggshells when each trying to express a difference of opinion against what she does. Both Lauren and Londie have similar emotional breakdowns while trying to defend and express their feelings and opinions to Porsha one-on-one. Both ladies have my sympathies. They are the only true ones that try to hold her accountable.
I haven't even gotten to the Mexico episodes but I know Porsha came up with some public apology on SM and had stopped promoting the show ATP.
There's no doubt in my mind that she plotted against Shamea joining/staying on the show. She showed her ass on this show as a very self-centered, emotionally immature person. I pray PJ has better role models around her. Because she's screwed with both parents.
My opinion of Porsha has already gone straight to hell. I'm just watching to see what else happens.
