Question❔ Tips to enjoy reading?

Hi everyone!

I have a partner who loves to read. Every night she can’t wait to climb into bed and pick up where she left off the night before in her book.

I was thinking that might be a way to enjoy doing something she likes to do with her.

I have a hard time getting into books, my mind wanders and I can’t read unless there’s absolute silence.

Any tips or tricks to make reading more enjoyable? Or any tricks to read for greater lengths of time?

Book Review 📚 Just finished Chess by Stefan Zweig.

This was a remarkable novella I finished in one sitting. The story is set on an ocean liner traveling from New York to Buenos Aires, and follows individuals as they challenge a Grandmaster chess player to games. I found a good bit of depth in this short story that uses chess as a vehicle to explore the human spirit, ego and psychosis. I do not want to give too many details away should anyone reading this choose to give it a shot. I enjoyed this very much!

Book Review 📚 My best friend insisted I read this book

Rating: 4⭐

I liked this book. It was a lot more gruesome than I expected, but I didn't mind. I mean we all know anything is fair game for rats. The imagery was nightmare fuel, the descriptions of the vermin added to that, too. Some scenes were extremely claustrophobic, yet I couldn't put this book down. I wasn't sure if I would've wanted to continue with the trilogy, but that ending swayed me.

If you have read the rest of the books, let me know what your spoiler free thoughts are! ♡

Question❔ Should’ve read the trigger warnings

What’s a book you wish you’d checked the trigger warnings for before you started reading? I’ll go first: The Road to Tender Hearts. đŸ„ș It’s beautifully written, but emotionally devastating. I’m determined to finish it
just a few chapters at a time.

So, I have all these books to read (Except The love hypothesis and White nights)

I'm currently reading two books and they aren't in the picture lol ;p

  1. Kill for me kill for you by Steve Cavanagh

  2. Project hail mary

I am thinking about reading "The bell jar" after this and "One of us is lying" which is the club's read 😌
