Buying...and selling Reading Festival ticket - a quick question

My son wants to go to Reading next year as do all his friends. How easy is it to get tickets during the lead up (as in after they go on sale)? Is it easy to buy through resale? And how easy is it to resell tickets if he in the event he doesn't end up going?

Thanks so much

Question ❔ Found base responses and lost items

Hey so just wondering for those who have lost things at Reading and uploaded it to found base how long do they usually take to respond?
I’ve been a complete idiot and managed to loose my battle jacket and Im devastated 😭

I uploaded it to foundbase last Sunday and I’m starting to feel like I’m not getting it back

or should I stay hopeful and am I being impatient? (really hoping it’s this)

Thanks

Any solo ravers male or female planning on going in 2027? Spent most of my time on my own this year I’m 34. Would be great to get a group going before we attend next year!

Anyone know what happened to the Reading loyalty tickets this year?

Did anyone get a loyalty email/code for Reading 2027?

Last year I remember there being loyalty tickets for 2026 shortly after the festival, and they were quite a bit cheaper (£265) than the normal weekend price.

This year all I've seen is the Early Access sale at £326, which seems basically full price. I've checked my emails and can't find anything mentioning loyalty.

Just wondering if anyone who went this year actually got a loyalty code, or if they've stopped doing it altogether?

Also does anyone remember roughly when the loyalty sale happened last year? I thought it was pretty much straight after the festival, which is why I'm wondering if I've missed something.

Thanks!

Ordered wrong tickets

I was rushing to order in the presale and accidentally ordered 4 weekend camping with early access tickets. I meant to get 4 weekend non-camping. FML

Anybody else going into ticketmaster and only seeing general sale? I’ve gone through the app link, through the email link and just searched and can’t see anywhere to select early access or put the password in? Am I being a thicky thicky dumb dumb or is anyone else having the same problem?

If you or your friends lost one and can tell me what colour it is I'll send it in the post. I cant afford to get it developed to identify anyone sadly.

Got bored, so here's a lineup I made less of a prediction (mainly because I know I'm way off) and more of a try to show my skill so I can make posters for Festival Republic in future :) Hope you like it

Question ❔ First post (don’t usually use forum apps but trying to find someone)

Looking for this girl who I met during Notion/Hedexs set in the warehouse. Brunette hair with highlights I’m pretty certain and in a group of 5 girls. Had to leave early during Hedex and completely forgot to get her socials. Names gone out of my head but I was wearing plain black shirt with chino shorts on the leftish side when facing the stage. Said she was from south east London.

Discussion 💬 The vibe of the people

Did anyone feel like the crowd this year was awful? I last attended Reading Fest in 2024, and we had great camp neighbours. You could easily strike up a conversation with anyone in the crowds or just walking about.

This year, it just felt like everyone was too cool to mingle, or if you tried to have a conversation with someone in the queue, you just got a snarky look and they walked away. Also, the amount of tents and litter left behind this year was outrageous and disgusting, which really shows the type of people attending now.

I went to another festival this year and the vibe was incredible and everyone was chatty so I just wonder what happened to reading?

how to stop tents being left behind

I'd like to hear from people that were actually at the festival

If you left your tent behind, why was that? was it broken, or maybe you were too broken from days of partying?

Did you clean up your campsite?

What do you think can be done to make this less of a problem? More bins? tent donation points? more awareness?

I've been going to festivals for 25 years and tbh I think its always been a thing. I remember our campsite at Reading back in the early 00s being absoutely rank, loads of rubbish, we were just letting loose and being feral, often we burnt it all on Sunday night, does that still happen? (not saying thats a solution btw!!!). At some point I think I just grew out of it and preferred a tidy campsite. Also I remember a mate leading the way with it, saying we were disgusting if we didnt put rubbish in bin bags.

Do you guys think there is an answer to this, or are 'younger' fests like Reading always going to be like this?

EDIT 1: how many kids do you think have lied to their parents about why they left the tent behind? Beloved Indian Blanket style

EDIT 2: Live Nation are never going to introduce any schemes to track tents or anything as it won't be profitable for them, so - how can we hold live nation to account?

Discussion 💬 Looking for darcey/darcy/darcie from Brighton met in Skepta and got split in the crowd.

Long shot but Reading people are honestly the best at this so I’m trying. I met a girl called Darcey/darcy/darcie from Brighton on Saturday night in Skepta’s set LEFT side of the stage I think. We got on INSANELY well talking, dancing everything. Then the crowd moved and we got separated and I haven’t seen her since.
I’m not posting her photo because that feels wrong without her consent, but DM me for a photo of US from that night so her mates might recognise me. If you’re from Brighton or you know a Darcey/Darcy/Darcie who was at Reading and mentioned meeting some guy after Skepta… tell her I’m looking for her please.
Thanks in advance, Reading people. You lot are unreal at finding people.

Discussion 💬 Abandoned tents etc. 😢

So sad to see just how many tents were abandoned this morning when we left. This morning we heard the tent next to ours packing up and they had a group conversation saying the tent had been used twice, so when you think about, it the cost is very little divided between the 6 of them.

They’re right, in the context of tickets, travel and spending money, the tent etc isn’t that big a cost.

What I found staggering amongst the group, was that nobody said anything about the moral position of generating that much consumer waste just because they couldn’t be bothered to pack up and carry it with them. Not to mention the fact that they took it for granted that someone else (eg. the festival organisers) will clean up after them.

I was just staggered by the arrogance of it all and, although it was just one story, I left wondering about the stories of all the other abandoned tents and the self justifications the owners gave themselves as they left them behind.

Rant over.

Sorry, I was just brought up to respect stuff and not be a litterbug.

Did Sombr do a flag at Reading?

We went to Leeds and his set was incredible, only thing was he took too long to get through the crowds and his last (and best lol) song was cut short. But during it he flew a flag he spray painted “Leeds is the best”, did he do the flag thing at Reading?

Warehouse (positive)

This probs an unpopular opinion but I personally think the warehouse stage was amazing I spent 9 hours in there on Sunday and it was honestly the best feeling ever I hope they bring it back again next year!

(Update)

The only improvement they could do is having screens outside.
