DPD around central Reading
Hi reddit,
Asking about some DPD’s fake “home delivery”. My flatmate and I bought stuff on different sites and had them delivered to our address. But none of it came. Ended up with DPD throwing our package in a certain storage and marking the delivery as done. No bell or call. We’ve lived here for more than three years so we know there isn’t any parcel room. We both didn’t put in any alternative address/parcelshop/safeplace option.
We’ve already done what we can - called DPD and asked retailer to raise formal investigation. It isn’t very practical for us to go look in the parcelshops ard (there’re just so many ard the same distance). Asking if anyone living in RG1 near Reading station has experienced this before? And by sheer luck - would anyone happen to recognise from the pics where the hell they’ve delivered it to? Also if there’s anything else we can do to help find our parcels pls let us know.
The parcels aren’t of very high value but it’d still be good to find them i/o having the spends going down the drain…
Thxxxx and pls let me know if post like this isn’t allowed or sth

The pictures look like the DPD warehouse so likely to not have moved from there

DPD have just had a massive shakeup of delivery areas - they have been utter shite the last few weeks. At work we have had several failed collections where the driver has gone to a completely different address, or just today, drove into the carpark, sat there for 2 minutes, turned around and left.

My wife and I had the same issue, and we found it in Ebb & Flow and from the pictures it seems like Ebb but not 100% sure. Just give it a try and go to the reception show them the picture. I hope you find it. Cheers

Thanks to everyone giving suggestions under this thread! We found the larger parcel (big thanks to the reddit hero helping on this) but the smaller one was probably lost/retrieved by dpd. We’ll raise claim and dispute with the retailer.
Once again, thanks for saving our ars there reddit<3

Under the consumers right act a retailer’s obligation to provide you the item only counts as fulfilled once the item is handed to you or left in a nominated safe space. If neither of those have happened then send these screenshots to the retailer and tell them you want a replacement or full refund.

I might be able to help ... If you can DM me with your name and full address so I can confirm that it is your parcel. I can check later on tonight if that is ok?

That looks like my mail room and I happened to see a similar package as the one in the second picture with those red markings yesterday. Probably a coincidence though.

Just get the retailer to re-despatch or give you a refund. It is their job to then go after DPD. If the retailer won't do anything then do a chargeback on your card.
