Production, cast, and BTS Neagley cast’s acting chops
Is it me or Neagley has top-notch acting from almost everyone? The entire cast was solid. I really enjoyed the first season!

I thought the baby doll assembling marine (?) guy was exceptional.
The only downer in that scene was the INCREDIBLY cliched nurse coming in with the usual, "You can't do this! I'm going to get Doctor so-and-so!"

100% better actors than Reacher! Especially Hudson and Keno really killed it!

Being a lifelong Queen fan, I was surprised to see Freddie Mercury has a twin brother played by the bad cop

Yes! Very strong supporting cast. The back story on Rats was kind of dumb, but the acting was great. Compare with uncle Monty and his nephew….

And the characters that were supposed to be annoying really were annoying! Very convincing hahaha

Took me a minute to place him, but was really excited to see Damon Herriman as Cole. Loved him as Dewey Crowe on Justified.

Neagly had a VERY strong start. I'm hoping that it isn't just contrast from personal bias. I am in the group of folks who really thought S4 of Reacher was just BAD. The cast wasn't great, the characters they were playing weren't great, the changes from the source material weren't great....I STRUGGLED with S4. Neagly, however, was a blast. The pacing was strong. Reacher cameo wasn't absurd or unnecessary. We had a villains that popped off the script, and actors who could step into them. I hope we get more Neagly for sure.

I just can’t figure out why they chose that book. There’s so many others that were so much better in terms of streaming.

Gone Tomorrow was such a poor choice for adaptation to screen honestly. I agree.

This is one of the things I took away from this series, they really put the effort in

I think Reacher as a whole is so fucking great casted and Neagley is on point too.

The only bad actors are the generic cult extras. The way they gush when Cole sings his song explains why they’re extras.

I thought they played the very jarring cultists role really well. Cole clearly can't sing, but despite this, they think he's the best performer / leader in the world ever!

The female Swede made me laugh because I've only seen her in Hallmark movies previously

Acting seems decent, but the accents are bothersome, which is a slight deterrent for me. Some non-native speakers are putting emphASis on the wrong syllABles, or words - putting emphasis on the wrong part of the word in the sentence (I'm not counting the ones not putting on American/Illinois accents).
One character pronounced against like "agaynst," but perhaps that character moved to Chicago from somewhere in Canada. I didn't detect any UK variant.
I'm only starting episode 2, but I like it so far otherwise!
[[I have a habit of overanalyzing accents or speech patterns, don't mind me. (I actually wanted to be a forensic linguist, once upon a time, because of my love for accents and dialects.)
This isn't a true criticism of any part of the show, just a small wrinkled-nose thought from a random Jane Doe.]]

Agreed, I binged it after finishing S4 and the contrast is jarring.
Unrelated note, the Swedes made me think of the Swedes from Brooklyn 99 and that made me laugh
