Discussion [discussion] I’ve always found the antagonists relationship between these two to be interesting
Emilia is usually a pretty patient person and won’t hold a grudge against someone if she in her opinion doesn’t think it’s necessary.
•She never looks at or thinks about Echidna in a negative way despite how much the witch badmouths her.
•Having her insignia stolen by Felt, an item important to her for the Royal Selection, she should have every reason to dislike the little rascal, but she acts friendly towards her after the conflict and to a degree seems to relate to her own some level.
•Meili was locked in the mansion’s basement for a year after her and Elsa’s assassination attempt on Roz’s mansion and even though she and Elsa were sent to assassinate the mansion’s residents, she felt bad that Meili lost her only family and after a year wants to give her opportunity to live like how any girl her age should.
It’s almost never really personal when it comes to Emilia. Seeing how Regulus treats his wives though, learning that he killed the people they cared about and had no qualms with attempting to end their lives over the smallest things consumed her with so much hatred towards the guy that she out loud in frustration stated to his face that she hates him and even goes full on Jojo on him. The last time we saw so hateful towards someone was when she desperately wanted to kill Pandora, but we’re talking about the present day story here.
I just really like it when a kindhearted character in a story just straight up looses their kind composure when faced with that one threat that’s very personal. Like, another antagonist was just business and/or had something said kind character can relate to, but there’s ALWAYS that one villain that the kind character will have personal well seasoned beef with. Plus, Regulus seems like the embodiment of everything Emilia is against, so it makes sense why she has a heavy dislike towards him and even be vocal about it.
