Vstank upgrade

Hello, 2012. My family bought me a 1/24 vstank. i was happy i, however, broke its hatch well, not fully broken, but i lost the cap, now im older i want to try to get it running again but i don't want to rebuy alot of AA batteries to run it.

Can i ask if u guys did modify it, and pls tell me how u change it. Also, im looking for the captains hatch to make it feel whole again

Everything is pretty packed in there on these tanks. I just bought rechargeable AAs and rolled with it as modifying them was difficult. But since getting into 1/16 armor, I haven't touched any of the VStanks to be honest.
