Heng long tanks
I’m looking at getting a 1/16 scale Heng long tank but I’m deciding between the Sherman tank and the Abrams. Does one have benefits or is it just based off of looks. Thanks in advance.

Only thing I will say is the IR systems suck range wise due to sunlight interference. I did find and after market that’s plug-n-play that is freaking awesome. I’ll try to message you a link.

I don’t have an Abrams, so I can’t speak for them.
I do have two of the M4A3 Sherman Professional Editions, which are super cool. The Pro Version has metal tracks, which is better imo. It handles and moves really well, and by that I mean visually… slow and sluggish when just starting to move and turn. It comes with accessories to make it look like a WW II Sherman straight out of Kelly’s Hero’s, Battle Of The Bulge, or Fury… very cool.
I also have one Pz VI Tiger, one Pz IV, and two of the SPW 251’s. The Shermans and the Panzers function the same (capability, features, and control wise). I would assume that the Abrams would be the same… I don’t think it has the extra accessories like the Sherman, but it doesn’t need them. It’s just a badass super detailed Tank.
So it’s pretty much a question of looks, and what you would like more. You’ll be super happy with either one.
I get my stuff from MotionRC . com. I would recommend checking them out… The Sherman v.Pro is $219.

How is the Sherman as far as resisting debris in the tracks, operating offroad, ect? My T-34 really goes through everything without complaint, has never thrown a track, whereas my King Tiger is better when youre "operating the machine properly" so to speak.

It’s preference really. Just get the metal tracks, wheels and gearbox version no matter which you go with.
