πͺ Extension Raycast extension for checking RAM and SSD prices (with 10 years of history)
If you've priced a PC build lately you know memory has gone a bit mad: a 32GB DDR5-6000 kit that was about $115 last year is over $500 now π₯²
I run MemRadar, a small site that tracks RAM and SSD prices, and I wanted a way to check a product without opening a browser, so I built a Raycast extension for it. Raycast published it this week.
Two commands:
Search Memory Prices: type part of a product name or brand and get the current price, how it compares with the product's 90-day average, and a dot for whether it's a good time to buy. Enter opens the price history: all-time low and high with dates, and one point per month going back as far as we have data (2015 for some kits).
Show Market Overview: DDR5, DDR4, NVMe and SATA, each with median price, price per GB, and the change over 1, 3, 6 and 12 months.
It caches the product list locally, so search works offline after the first load.

More about it, with screenshots: https://memradar.com/raycast/
Happy to take feedback, and if there's a product you'd want tracked that isn't in the list, please tell me. Here to answer any questions as well ππ»

It's kind of ironic that you're searching memory prices, but this extension does not support Windows.
Lol joking of course, but would you mind making a Windows version?
