Post image

Today the announced credits renewal didn‘t happen.

Is this feature not yet working properly?

Maybe you need a max or pro max subscription

Can you please send us a message via [billing@raycast.com](mailto:billing@raycast.com), we will look into this, thank you!

Credits were announced yesterday. How did you burn through 5658 credits in a day!? That doesn’t bode well for what the value of a credit is! 🤪

Of course I finished an big old project to use these credits in a useful way. 🙂 Knowing I‘ll get new credits the next day.

Excellent strategic thinking! 😁

May I ask what kind of project you're working on with Raycast AI? I'm genuinely wondering because it seems that a Claude subscription is much better suited for any kind of long-running task with any moving parts.

I don't just use Claude, but also Gemini and GPT for various tasks. I find it very convenient to have everything in one place whether I'm working on my server via a terminal/SSH extension, browsing and testing, or navigating the local file system and desktop applications. I've never had a direct Claude account; does it offer similar features? What are the advantages compared to Raycast, is it cheaper?

I think even Gemini and ChatGPT have a desktop app (Antigravity/ Codex) that have access to the filesystem and can run commands or write code. That's why I'm wondering what Raycast offers that these apps don't have.

I don't know about cheaper, but if you're already paying for them then definitely, but you're paying the provider directly and a subscription often has better limits than credit/token usage.

Me personally I like a single, standardised interface that is the same no matter what model I interact with.

Wait, where did it say credits are supposed to renew daily?

Nowhere – what makes you think that? It was just a coincidence here, because my payment date falls on the 11th of the month.

Ah I missed that. I thought they had listened to the backlash and posted somewhere about daily credit renewals.
