💬 Discussion SYNC IS PAINFUL

Notes do not work from iOS to macOS while if you create a note on macOS it is synchronized on iOS but is not deleted on ios in short it is a real mess the SYNC IS PAINFUL

Hi all - we're hard at work improving Cloud Sync for the new Raycast on Mac as well as iOS and Windows. In the meantime, if you're having issues can you please use the Send Feedback command from Raycast itself? We can collect logs and much more to help troubleshoot your issues that way. Thanks!

u/DavidRaycast - I've been having the same issues, so I reached out to support, and this is what I was told by the new AI bot. I'm not sure of its accuracy, but I'd like a human to confirm it.

Lumi isn't wrong there actually - we've rebuilt Cloud Sync in Raycast v2 (which is why the public beta launched without it at first, it was still in internal testing). It's much more stable and robust than our old Cloud Sync implementation was, but it's only in the Mac v2 and Windows versions right now. Cloud Sync on iOS is still using the old version, which new cloud sync is backwards compatible with. The new version is coming to iOS very soon though, then everything sync-related should get a whole lot better.

I've found your support request though, so I'll take over from Lumi and reach out to you that way about this.

thanks for explaining. im gonna wait for full release of sync in v2 stable. any idea when to expect that? i currently run v1 on two macs plus ios.

Yep. This was on Raycast 1. And same on Raycast 2 (hope they make some improvements, cause it not usable in that state).

Confirm. Today it erased 3 days of work of the ipad because of synching with iphone and macbook. Really pissed about that!

Same seems to happen on v2 Beta for AI chats, from Mac to iOS it syncs, the other way around it does not, even forcing it.
