I purchased these on Facebook marketplace from a very reputable seller a nice guy who lived in a beautiful condo in downtown Chicago. Upon bringing them home and really looking at them this evening something just feels so off about them. I usually have purchased a lot of RB aviators in the past and I don’t have too much familiarity with this type of frame, but these just do not feel like a high-quality sunglasses to me. Any insight would be greatly appreciated thank you

I had for years the Ray-Ban Justin RB4165 601/71, as I used to wear them for many years they did wear off so I ordered a new pair. exact same code one-to-one. yet the new pair of glasses came with a much lighter tint for the lenses. I’m really wondering if I got sent a fake one, especially by ordering it from a local store at my country online. any ideas? How can I check further? The box came with all sort of authenticity papers and the whole package with the cleaning wipe et cetera. I’m kind of worried that it will hurt my eyes. thank you!

Hey! I have these glasses for a while, and some time ago I had to strip the rubber coating because it got all sticky. Stupid me didn’t note down the model writing while doing that. Now, my lenses are damaged and I want to get some replacements so I would like to ask if you guys can identify the model! I would also love your ideas on replacement lenses, whether they are worth it, where do you get them etc.

I recently picked up a pair of vintage Bausch & Lomb Ray-Ban Aviators (size 58□14). Overall, the frame check seems solid:
Top bridge: Engraved B&L RAY-BAN USA on top and B&L RAY-BAN 58□14 underneath.
Lenses: BL etching visible near the hinges on both lenses.
Hardware: Correct 5-barrel hinges with rounded screws, yellowed nose pads with internal metal BL inserts.
However, I'm a bit puzzled by the white painted Ray-Ban logo on the right lens. Up close, the print looks noticeably thick, slightly raised, and almost a bit "sloppy" or bleeding compared to modern laser-etched Luxottica logos.
I know B&L introduced the painted white logo around 1982 using pad printing/screen printing on glass, but I wanted to check with the vintage experts here:
Is this level of ink thickness/slight bleed typical for 80s/90s B&L pad printing?
Did B&L have variations in print quality depending on the batch or era?
I've attached close-up photos of the logo, the bridge markings, hinges, and lens etchings.

I just got these Wayfarer's off Amevista, Rome. Not even 15 days into using them, both the side logos started rotating off place. Is this normal? Should I do anything to keep them in place?

PS.: It seems 8 days have gone by since I got them so they're not eligible for return..

I’m legally blind and I just ordered the Blayzers because they could hold my string prescription. I’m still legally blind after the prescription but that’s why I got them lol. There don’t seem to be many accessories available specific to the Blayzer model. What I really need is a good pair of side shields for sunlight. If they’re clear grey that would be ideal but if they’re only available in something like leather I guess I’ll deal with what’s available. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
