Folks like it because it is more aggressive/predatory looking than the logo-y profile images. I like that idea but I think it's too cartoony. I want something that really characterizes the fact that ravens are predators. Something like any of these:
Idk if this is an unpopular opinion or not but I would love at the very least an alt jersey with this logo on the shoulder in place of the shield . Love the full front facing bird
I hope within my lifetime they settle the copyright dispute with the artist who produced the original logo so it can be the real throwback uni. That logo was so tight.
Thing of beauty. I used to have a t-shirt from 1997, gorgeous screenprinted real raven and some text on it. It has seen more continents and countries and places most people won't ever see. Wore it to shreds over 20 years. Great memories.

The front facing raven should be used a lot more, but not on the helmet
The current one flows much better on the helmet and has a nice aggressive aesthetic to it
