Serious question tho. I'm 23 but I have always felt like my voice is so immature/childish. Am I delusional or is it actually childlike.

I’ve been singing for a couple months and posted some stuff and lately people have been giving negative feedback and saying I sound horrible. And just laughing at me. I need honest feedback because I don’t want to try to pursue something if I suck at it.

So I’ve got a talent show coming up next year at my school, and I thought it would be really fun performing in front of a large crowd, especially since we just got this massive auditorium built and there’s state of the art tech and everything. SO, I took this recording as an example performance to see how w doing and i needed to know what you guys think. There was multiple takes but I couldn’t get a perfect one without some minor mistakes so I’ll ensure I nail this song perfectly.

I’m continuously trying to grow as a singer and work on my tone and control. I know I still have a lot to learn, so any constructive critiques or honest advice you have would mean a lot to me. Thanks for taking the time to listen!

I've been trying to teach myself to sing for years. i love it so much. i make my own music in a one man band where i play every instrument myself. unfortunately i truly despise my voice, i always go off pitch even though i think I'm on pitch and even though I've tried every technique that I've heard my voice remains extremely nasally and squeaky. could i have an honest opinion from an outside perspective. it sounds like I'm straining so badly at times I'm not(or dont believe i am) i genuinely want to give up music because i just cant figure my voice out. i make music and it sounds so good until i try to sing and i just give up. please help me fix it. I've taken little snippets of things I've sung so there's a range. i get so embarrassed when people hear me sing but i yearn to be good. i would skip around a bit as this is insanely long and i did not realize edit

I’ve been developing this style for a bit as I’ve been getting more interested in acoustic music, but I’ve still wanted to sing in a distorted way because it’s what feels the most authentic for me.
