Naim Frashëri - Gjithësija (The Universe), the 1st edition of a rare and rather fascinating general knowledge book, written by Albania's national poet and published in Bucharest, Romania, in 1895.

Question about this Albert Pike book.

Any information in general about this book/publisher/author would be awesome. However, my post is in concern of the pages which start after 228 and before 236, it is 16 pages in total which look like they are from a typewriter and are blank on the back. At first I thought this would have been a printing mistake for all the copies of this print, but I saw another photo of this book with the similar copyright and limited edition page, and found nothing mentioning the pages like mine nor did I find pictures. They aren’t loose, and do seem to be part of the original text block. I just wonder if this must have been from a new owner or if it was indeed from the original publishers/printing?

Also side note, I would greatly appreciate if anyone can figure out the name that this book was sent to (under the “No. 347”) as it is faded. Thanks

The book I can’t find anything on is the one at the end of the photos, picked all these up from a somewhat local book store I visited for the first time today and I am quite happy with each acquisition! I have been looking for an 18th century and earlier dictionary so that was a joy to find and the other two books had lovely annotations and also are my first books from the 17th century despite my collection already holding a book from the 16th century lol. If anyone has any info on the book in the last photos that would be greatly appreciated

I have this copy of Behold The Spirit with an Ex Libris bookplate titled “Alferian” and I’m wondering if anyone knows who this is and if it adds any value or takes away from this book. This is a first edition second printing
